Fruit juices are very freshly squeezed. In the meantime, I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Thushara Fernando, the owner of Catamaran Restaurant on the Mount Lavinia beach, and his staff for giving a valuable example that there are still good people who are rich in humanity who uphold human values. On the 2nd of April, we went to Catamaran Restaurant to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Although there are several such restaurants on the Mt. Lavinia beach, I was impressed by the warm welcome and hospitality of the staff at Catamaran, which was the main reason I chose that place for my daughter's birthday party.  What I am going to say is an opportunity to show human qualities that go beyond that. On the way home from the birthday party, my hand just went to my neck and I felt that I didn't have the gold necklace I was wearing.  We immediately went back to the restaurant and informed the staff.  From that moment, they began to search for the missing necklace.  Needless to say, finding something like a gold necklace in such a sandy land was a daunting task. However they eagerly searched for my lost necklace and found it under the sand.  But the pendant was not there.  We searched for it for some time but did not find it, so we thanked them and left for home. The next day I called Mr. Thushara again and thanked the staff and him for finding the missing necklace the day before.  Mr. Thushara then said that the lost pendant was also found. I wanted to record this incident on social media as a token of gratitude to them.  The presence of such honest, good people in today's society should be truly commendable. My heartfelt thanks goes to Mr. Thushara Fernando, the owner of Catamaran Restaurant and all the staff who worked there that day. 3 people found this review helpful 👍

But this is the most horrible and arrogant people's restaurant. They disrespect foreigners. I got a fish n chips fried in used smelly expired cooking oil..i ate it..But i didn't mention it...Then I ordered a carbonara.. It was very sweet , like a dessert.....When I told him that, the staff member told me that it is usually a sweet dish.Then I told him to make it spicy again..then the food he gave to me was burnt ...it smelled..after that we left...I will not recommend this place to anyone..it is such a bad place with nice vibe.. ..Our journey that we enjoyed was totally f...ked up because of their behavior and food 1 person found this review helpful 👍

It was a night to remember! Catamaran exceeded our expectations. Manager Champi was most helpful and attended to every detail: from seating arrangements and backup tables in case of rain, to Christmas lights and fireworks. Yet all within the agreed budget. We loved the location - you can swim, play beach volleyball and enjoy ocean breeze. Food was exceptionally good and prepared to our taste: seafood platters, rice, salads, bar and soft drinks, delicious brownies with ice cream for dessert. Live music band put us all in dancing and singing mood, and adapted the playlist to our request. If you are looking for a place to host an international party - Catamaran is sincerely recommended. They will take care of the details you didn’t even think of.

And recommended for the beautiful sunset view. Week ends and holidays are really cruddy. There is no need to make an advance reservation; you can dine in. Card payments are available, and on the beverage menu, you can have beer and soft drinks. BYOB is also available. There is no hard liquor available. They are not selling cigarettes, but they provide someone to contact and buy from, and his price is a bit higher than the original price.

Let me tell you, one of the best decisions I have made in my life to have the wedding at catamaran beach. It was amazing.the food was good. Drinks was flowing till morning. People just were amazed by the beach wedding vibe. Thushara, Champi and thanuja was so helpful till the end of the session and has been planning with us for an year. The comments we got, OMG. It was a different wedding experience that people did not expect. Everybody loved the whole vibe. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Ps. Since it's the beach, everyone was wearing shorts, including the groom and the bestmen 😊😊❤️

There are no words to say about the food.. I see their most unique quality is that they are very flexible in providing what they need for anything... In fact, they charge very reasonably even from the cost point of view.. We told our mates this time that we have unlimited foods, drinks and music. We were able to do it because of the service they gave us... the music band is awesome.
