Parking information

• The parking lot is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The last entry into the parking lot is 7:00 p.m. Parking is paid and we recommend it be reserved ahead of time. When exiting, slowly proceed to the parking exit gate arm and the arm will automatically open for you to exit. All vehicles must exit the parking lot by 8:30 p.m. Price: Flat daily rate of $15.00 plus tax and fees (*subject to change).
• Parking Instructions: - Proceed to the parking entrance gate arm, the gate will automatically open for you to enter Park in any "Paid Parking" stall. - Go to any of the signs throughout the parking lot marked "Pay Here" to pay for parking. - Payment options: 1) Text 28 to 4222, scan the QR code and look for zone 28. Enter your information and pay for parking with your credit/debit card. 2) To pay and reserve a parking stall ahead of time visit www.parklinq.com, and click on "Learn More". *Parking must be paid upon arrival. • All guests must be able to walk up steps to board the boat, and climb up and down a ladder to get on and off at snorkel locations.
• All participants must be able to swim to be able to enter the water.

• Dolphin sightings are not guaranteed. In the unlikely event that you do not see any dolphins on your tour, you will be able to ride again for free within 5 days of your original booking. Free tours under the dolphin guarantee do not include meals and transportation, which are $15.00 each.
• This is a "bare foot" tour and all footwear must be left on the dock in secured container.
• Storage is available on board the boat under the seats to keep bags and other personal items dry.
• Disposable underwater camera and memorabilia for purchase, wet-suit, and SNUBA rentals are available on site. Additional costs will apply.
• Drinks are available for purchase ($5 for each).

My boyfriend and I had an excellent time on this excursion! The crew truly made this an unforgettable experience as they were incredibly polite, kind and patient with all the guests. We previously had a rough go at snork ... eling on a trip to Mexico which prompted the crew to take special care with us as we entered the water and familiarized ourselves with snorkeling in open ocean. They were encouraging and supportive; we would 100% recommend and would love to come back again. They gave an excellent overview of how to use the equipment and enter the water safely. We got to swim alongside a TON of fish and got to see 2 turtles while in the water. The service on the boat was great and the lunch tasted great; really hit the spot after swimming for a while. Thank you!!

The team really went out of their way to give us a great day out on the water, and went out looking to make sure we saw turtles. We are booking next time we go already

No, you do not have to know how to swim for this activity.

Is there a safe place to store my belongings while on tour?

There are no lockers, but there is storage available under the seats on the boat.

How far in advance should I book this activity?

We recommend booking at least a few days in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.

Are you required to wear a life jacket?

Yes, upon arrival to the snorkeling sites you will be required to wear a life jacket. Once the captain feels you are comfortable enough in the water, he will let you take it off.

What kind of boat will be used?

The "Holole'a Kai" is a swift and comfortable 53-foot Gold Coast Catamaran. A perfect combination of luxury and state-of-the-art, the catamaran cruiser holds up to 49-passengers with amenities that include a cushioned suntan deck, teak bar, male and female restrooms, and a fresh water outdoor shower.

What is the menu?

Check-in Snacks: Granola Bars, Hot Tea and Cocoa Lunch: Pre-wrapped turkey sandwich or veggie sandwich. Soft Drinks: Assorted Soft Drinks, Tropical Juices, and Water. Alcoholic Beverages: Dark Rum, Light Rum, Vodka, Sparkling Wine, Red & White Wine, and Assorted Beers. Our Morning Calm or Afternoon Adventure snorkeling tour leaves when the sun is hot and the water is cooling. Discover pods of dolphins as we cruise along towards our snorkeling locations. Then it is time to jump on in and snorkel with turtles and a variety of tropical reef fish.

What to Expect

Leaving the Ko'Olina Marina we will take you to the best snorkeling conditions on the whole island, the Westside of Oahu. While we head to our snorkeling locations dolphins play and flourish along the bow of our boats. Once we meet up with the dolphins (year round) and whales (seasonal December - April), we’ll stop the boat, and sit with them as our knowledgeable crew will tell you everything you want to know about these amazing and beautiful creatures.

Continuing along, our snorkel and dolphin cruise will travel along the unspoiled Waianae coastline where your tour guide will talk about the magical history of our islands and the Waianae coastline as our crew enchants you with legends and history of this beautiful land.

After an exciting ride up the coast, we’ll enjoy an hour of snorkeling in the pristine waters off Oahu's western coastline. Take a dive into one of Hawaii's most secluded snorkeling spots, home to a variety of sea turtles, eagle rays, tropical fish, and healthy colorful coral.

While still tingling from your snorkeling and dolphin watching experience, enjoy our sumptuous lunch, and sip on a tropical Mai Tai, an ice-cold beer or any of our other beverages to your heart’s content. Let the cool Hawaiian breeze relax your soul as we make our way back down the coast to our luxurious Ko ‘Olina Marina home.

We will cruise along the Waianae coastline in search of different dolphin species. Most commonly, you will get to see the Hawaiian Spinner dolphins as they swim and play next to the boat. Next, we’ll head towards our snorkel location where you’ll get to swim with green sea turtles and tropical reef fish. The crew will set up ocean activities such as our built-in 20 Ft waterslide, stand-up paddle boards, a giant floating mat and kayak! After snorkeling, enjoy lunch as we make our way back down the coast to the harbor. Keep your eyes out for whales in the winter months!

Board a 53-foot catamaran from Ko Olina Marina, at the Ko Olina Resorts, to sail the leeward coast in the morning. Snorkel with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles (honu), see spinner dolphins, and so much more marine life on the beautiful coral reefs along Oahu’s coast. Enjoy lunch, three complimentary alcoholic drinks, and transportation from Waikiki ( for an additional fee).

Humpback whale watching is possible during their migratory season from December through March.

Ko Olina Adventure Sail and Snorkel Tours depart from Ko Olina Marina, part of Ko Olina Resorts (45-minutes from Waikiki). Tours leave in the morning and mid-day for 3-hour sail and snorkel tours.

During your shoreline sail, your experienced catamaran Captain and crew are on the lookout for viewing encounters with playful, entertaining Hawaiian spinner dolphins and majestic, seasonal Alaska humpback whales (December thru March). Your Captain will also set anchor at one fabulous snorkel reef teeming with tropical reef fish, fascinating marine life, and frequent visits from friendly Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. They usually stop for snorkeling just offshore Electric Beach, one of our top 5 best snorkeling spots on Oahu .

The crew is friendly and very helpful to beginner snorkelers. They provide detailed instructions, advice, and serve as lifeguards while you are in the water. They can’t guarantee marine sightings but they will do their best to find them along their sailing route.

Sail on the swift and comfortable catamaran, the Holole’a Kai. Holole’a Kai means “to sail freely and with adventure on the ocean.” Enjoy leeward Oahu’s panoramic coast and its vistas of beautiful beaches, mountains, and valleys. The 53-foot vessel features a cushioned suntan deck, teak bar, restrooms, and an outdoor freshwater rinse-off. She holds up to 40 passengers.

Your Tour Includes  Pre-packaged lunch, unlimited soft drinks, three complimentary alcoholic beverages, snorkel gear, snorkel instruction, and life vests. Bottled drinking water, restrooms, and freshwater shower rinse onboard. If you bring your own snorkel gear, they do not allow a full face mask.

Dolphins and You is committed to protecting the dolphins and wildlife of Hawaii’s fragile ecosystem. The wildlife of of Hawaii is impacted heavily by the disposal of trash in our oceans. While on our dolphin tour, our crew has spotted dolphins playing with trash in the water, which the dolphins can mistake as leaves or other organic material. Ingesting this hazardous material can be detrimental to dolphins, as it accumulates in their stomachs and digestive tracks. To combat this, the team at Dolphins and You decided to participate in a beach cleanup on the Kahuku Golf Course Beach. This cleanup helped remove micro plastics and larger plastic particles from the oceans shore so that dolphins and other marine life would not be at risk of ingesting the plastic. Our goal is always to protect Hawaii’s environment and our dolphin friends however we can, so that we may continue our dolphin tour safely for generations to come!

This crew and operation is top notch!!! We saw breaching whales, dolphin pods, sea turtles, and reef fish when snorkeling. You can see different sea life at different times of the year - whale season from November to March is fantastic!!! The crew made sure people were safe and got to see as much as possible. They were knowledgeable and informative and made the trip FUN with their cute little jokes!!!

The guides gave us plenty of instruction and assistance on and off the boat. That had a lot to tell us about Hawaii and the local Flora/fauna. They were super helpful with all the equipment and made sure to tell us where to watch and when. On our trip we got to see a humpback whale, sea turtles, loads of fish, and a very impressive amount of dolphins. Would absolutely attend again.

We were a group of 8 and everyone had a great time! We had teenage grandchildren with us who had never been to Hawaii and they were so impressed. I am not a water person and did not plan to get in the water. I felt so comfortable that I decided to give it a try. So I got in the ocean for the first time in about 20 years! I am so glad I did as Veronica made sure I was OK and comfortable and kept an eye on me. Thank you Veronica! I would definitely go out with them again. We also all enjoyed our lunch much at Spinners!

The staff at Dolphin Excursions Snorkel Adventure is TOP-NOTCH. Super friendly and helpful - you really feel their concern to make sure you have the best experience possible. They will do everything possible to make sure you get to snorkel right by dolphins. It was such an incredible experience. If you only do one excursion in Oahu DO THIS ONE! Also, I HIGHLY recommend buying the photo package. The photo quality is incredible and I left with over 30+ photos of me and my friends snorkeling.
