Peter Insull's Yacht Marketing sells Tamsen superyacht Namaste
News just in from Marc Borderon at Peter Insull's Yacht Marketing that the 40 metre superyacht Namaste has sold, with David Legrand at Fraser Yachts acting as the buying broker.
One of only two yachts of this design, the sleek, RINA classed cruiser with a distinctive cappucino coloured hull has been with the same owner since she was commissioned from Turkey's Tamsen Yachts in 2008. He has carried out a rolling programme of upgrades; one reason why Namaste has proved such a popular charter vessel over the years. Another is that the deck areas and interior spaces suggest a much larger vessel than her stats suggest – the 2.47 metre headroom in the main saloon surpasses many recent launches over 50 metres, for example.
Living quarters are serene, with natural woods, cream and soft brown leathers and fabrics, and oriental features providing a decor style best described as contemporary Asian. Huge windows and large glass panels in the ceilings and floors, plus an opening skylight in the upper lounge, flood the interior with light. Spaces are generous for 12 guests in five cabins: a master suite, two doubles and two twins plus two Pullman berths. All staterooms have full en suite bathrooms.
Of the several outdoor spaces, the foredeck is particularly impressive. A comfortable lounging and dining area with the yacht's jacuzzi, this area offers fabulous unobstructed views yet also privacy from the quay when in port.
Originally priced at €12,500,000 in 2012, then reduced to €9,500,000 before her final asking price of €7,500,000, Namaste has been bought by a non-European buyer who intends to take her from the south of France to Miami.

Superyacht conversion in line for largest cruiseship yet
A well-known superyacht brokerage has concluded a deal to sell Artica Adventure & Cruise Shipping’s laid up 12,900-gt cruiseship the Minerva (built 1996).
Antibes-based brokers Peter Insull's Yacht Marketing confirms to TradeWinds this week that it has concluded a deal to sell the ship, although it declines to reveal to whom and for what price.
Peter Insull specialises exclusively in large luxury yachts — brokering sales deals, construction and conversion projects.
