52 FLY - The Absolute Direction

52 FLY

The Absolute 52 FLY is a new direction, a ground-breaking example of marine architecture that offers Absolute’s trademark features, including many that are found only on much larger yachts.

Everything was designed to ensure an exceptional cruising experience, with sensations of comfort and space heightened by ample headroom , a minimal use of steps, extensive glazing and countless design details that facilitate life on board for guests and crew.

52 FLY

The 52 FLY’s stunning flybridge is a luxurious platform for enjoying the sea from a lofty viewpoint. The helm station , complete with ergonomic seats and large MFDs offering fingertip control of all onboard systems, is accompanied by settees so that the owner-captain can enjoy good company even when at the controls. With a dining table , a galley and bar unit , the flybridge is a privileged location for life on board, where moments of total relaxation can be enjoyed on its stern terrace area with modular furnishing.

The cockpit terrace , always a highlight of Absolute yachts, is a flexible space that pampers guests from morning to evening. Its modular furniture can be arranged as required, and the adjustable shades ensure comfort as the day progresses. There is easy access to the stern platform for close contact with the sea, and magical moments at sunset can be accompanied by the delights prepared in the nearby wet bar and galley. Absolute’s attention to the best possible views can be seen in the glazed stern parapet and the open gunwale design.

The use of extensive glazing , a familiar Absolute trademark, is particularly visible in the saloon , from where there are fantastic 360-degree views. In addition to air conditioning, natural ventilation can be provided by the electrically-controlled vertically sliding windows. The galley is fully equipped, and, unusually for boats of this size, there is also a spacious pantry .

The main helm station , in direct contact with the saloon, is in a position that ensures optimum visibility, and it features advanced infotronics and comprehensive on-screen monitoring of all on-board systems. A door is conveniently placed for rapid transit from the main helm station to the lateral walkway, facilitating harbour manoeuvres.

52 FLY

The bow location of the master cabin ensures peace, silence and privacy. Its full-beam layout optimises space, with a large double berth accessible from all three sides, extensive cupboards and storage units, and a superb marble bathroom .

The VIP guest cabin midships could in every way be considered a second master, in terms of space, headroom, en-suite bathroom and finish. The third guest cabin has an electricalsystem, fitted as standard, for seamless transformation from twin berths to double. In addition, there is a versatile crew cabin , with practical access from the stern platform.

All in all, the 52 FLY, a paragon of technology, design and performance, is the perfect expression of Absolute’s direction : exploring new routes and navigating to the next level of comfort.

This 52-Foot Cruiser Delivers Superyacht Amenities in a Compact Package

Features like two main suites, a sweeping bridge and twin helms give the absolute 52 fly real authority in the 50-foot flybridge segment., kevin koenig, kevin koenig's most recent stories.

Absolute 52 Fly

Absolute Yachts’ most recent model is the 52 Fly, which rolled out at the 2023 Miami International Boat Show. From the first step aboard, it was clear the Italian builder had sweated not only the details, but also pushed the genre ahead of its competition.

Absolute 52 Fly flybridge motoryacht

The hull’s glazing, resembling a short, tanto-bladed knife and a vertical bow up front, also added to the contemporary design. Undulating LED lighting inlays in the cockpit overhang imparted a cool, sophisticated look to the space. At the same time, a starboard-side docking station spoke to this boat’s bona fides as a serious cruising machine.

The salon also had design touches that one might not expect to find on a 52-ft. semi-custom build. The aft galley had a four-burner Bosch cooktop and a six-foot-tall, stacked refrigerator and freezer that is useful for longer trips. The drawers all had chic leather tabs as handles, extending a beach-like, elegant vibe to the space.

Absolute 52 Fly flybridge motoryacht

The starboard-side helm was another place onboard that feels just a little bit different than the standard offerings in this size and class.

Twin Garmin screens were angled off in a small arc, as opposed to facing straight back, which gave them a slightly futuristic feel. Tightly stitched helix patterns in the seat-backs of the helm chairs pointed towards a high level of fit and finish.

A sturdy door next to the helm led to the side deck. Perhaps most important for the helmsperson, the Volvo Penta joystick control was maneuverable while standing on that side deck. The joystick and cockpit control station should make docking this boat easier than a conventional setup.

One of the other significant layouts was the flybridge. Absolute managed to make it look stylish and large, without appearing top heavy. The design included a large forward lounge surrounding the helm station, with back-to-front seats to port, and an L-shaped lounge extending back to the transom, with a center dining table. The side island with fridge can also double as a serving station. The overhead hardtop had an opening center window, and stereo speakers were embedded into the bridge.

Our final impression after a tour aboard: The Absolute 52 Fly was more than the sum of its parts. The boat was full-featured without looking crowded, but also highly functional. This 52-footer was clearly ready for a weekend cruise or extended voyage. The Italian builder proved that a well-conceived design makes for a well-rounded boat.

52 Pilothouse

Stylish and comfortable.

The first Apollonian model is a 52’ pilothouse with a 16’ 10” beam and wide walk-arounds. It has a massive interior, spacious salon aft of the galley, dinette, three huge staterooms, two heads, and a day head in the pilothouse. The traditional raised pilothouse layout has proven to be a functional standard in comfort and onboard livability.

The interior features abundant American cherry, including book matched burled cabinet tops. The galley is fully furnished with household-sized stainless-steel appliances and plenty of storage. Three large cabins include a full-beam master suite with a queen-sized bed and ensuite head. The large VIP has a queen bed and direct access to an ensuite head. The third cabin is a bunk cabin complete with a nightstand and hanging locker. A full-sized washer and separate dryer are in the foyer on the cabin deck. A convenient day head is adjacent the pilothouse and galley.

A large open flybridge is accessed by an internal floating stairway. The flybridge includes a second helm station, an al fresco dining table with seating, a wet bar, and electric BBQ. There is also plenty of room to lounge on the aft flybridge deck or to stow a RIB. A large sun pad rounds out the bridge-deck accommodations.

The engine room is clean and uncluttered, with great access. Twin 6.7 liter Cummins engines provide very comfortable cruise speeds of 15-21+ knots. Vessel purchase includes an extensive one-year new boat warranty plus a worldwide Cummins factory warranty on the engines.

Exceptional Value

While competitors offer a lot of expensive options, Apollonian Yachts incorporate many of these features–and more–as standard. Our boats are delivered turn-key and ready to go. The Apollonian 52’s long list of standard equipment includes a deluxe Garmin electronics package valued at $38,000 that comes with a Phantom radar, autopilot with remote, AIS, VHF, electronic charts, and twin 16” 8616MFD displays with two 11” repeaters on the flybridge. Other notable standard equipment includes a Lewmar electric windlass, anchor and ground tackle, an inverter, AGM 8D battery system, an electric bow thruster with its own AGM batteries, reverse cycle heat and air throughout the boat, canvas covers for exterior furniture, Samsung flat screen TVs with Bose surround sound system, and much more. Features that would amount to around $100,000 of options on other comparable vessels are all included on the Apollonian 52, making it an even better value than the price tag suggests.

Seeing is believing—once on board you will understand how the Apollonian 52 delivers on our promise of quality, comfort, and value. Contact Vic today for your private showing.

Exterior design

One-third of the Oceanis 51.1’s hull is now stepped. In addition to the aesthetics of this flared shape, the new hull creates additional interior space, which in turn allows for exciting new layouts below. Her sleek, modern lines will turn heads in every harbor, while her deck and cockpit setup, replete with relaxation and lounging areas, offers a delightful blend of comfort and safety, both at sea and at anchor.

52 ft sailing yacht

Interior Design

Large portholes suffuse the elegant Nauta Design interior with light, creating a wonderfully warm atmosphere below, and offering incomparable views whether you are sitting or standing. An elegant palette of woods and upholsteries guarantees your tastes are reflected, and ensure your boat will always feel like home no matter where it is in the world.

RENEWAL OF THE CRUISING YACHT

The Oceanis 51.1 is spacious, elegant, cleverly designed, and fast.

52 ft sailing yacht

The furling mast, self-tailing jib, and all the halyards and sheets on the standard model are brought back to a single winch at each of the helm stations, making her simple and easy to sail. As for harbor maneuvering, Dock & Go technology simplifies everything.

THE HEIGHT OF COMFORT

The architectural choices that stand out on the Oceanis 51.1 are reflected in her habitability and an incredible amount of space. Inside, the owner cabin has an en-suite shower room and toilet, and a 1.6 m wide island bed.  The fully-fitted U-shaped galley has many convenient features. Truly a space to enjoy together, it is as pleasant to use under sail as it is at anchor.

Fitted with an extra-long carbon or aluminium mast, the Oceanis 51.1 First Line has up to 35% additional sail area in high-tech materials. The boat has a 2.8 m lead bulb keel in this high-performance configuration. This reduces weight and hydrodynamic drag. To complete this version, a composite steering wheel, top-of-the-range deck fittings, and boomsprit marry speed and cruising and promise an all new experience.

Making Waves:

The Viking 52 Convertible is another impressive addition to our world renowned stable of blue-water tournament contenders. As you would expect from Viking, this model evolves from the introductions before it including the Viking 42, the Viking 55 and the Viking 62. In our commitment to build a better boat every day it is insufficient to merely add a fresh face to the line up unless it incorporates the latest treatments and engineering milestones and the Viking 52 has all this and more.

The resin infused hull boasts a sophisticated matrix of composite materials including end-grain balsa coring, DuPont Kevlar, and knitted fiberglass laminates. The one-piece deckhouse assembly stretching from the bow pulpit to the inner transom liner features carbon fiber in its composite structure. A molded fiberglass forepeak liner forward of the engine room sheds weight by incorporating the outer walls and floor, the lower port bunk, the sink base module and the shower pan for both heads, and the forward starboard bunk base. Maple lined interior hanging locker doors and cabinet and drawer fronts utilize a lightweight honeycomb core material.

Continuing along its evolutionary trail, the forward entry is sharpened to knife through head seas. The convex hull shape adds buoyancy and molded strakes on the bottom provide lift for planing efficacy. As a whole, these hull and the V-bottom features and the 11.8 degree transom deadrise, utilize horsepower most efficiently for better speed and faster throttle response in keeping with the theme of all new Vikings.

The three-stateroom, two-head layout offers a choice of sleeping arrangements in the bow. The standard layout features crossover berths with the lower a double bunk and the upper port side berth a large single. This will be the stateroom layout on hull number one. A second plan is available offering a custom queen berth. On both versions, the master is fitted with a walk-around queen bed and is served with a private head and shower. A third stateroom to port has upper and lower berths. The port and forward staterooms are separated by a shared head and shower. Ample stowage is provided in the three staterooms with large maple-lined hanging lockers, credenzas, and deep drawer space, as well as beneath each bunk. A laundry center in the companionway is standard.

The salon is inviting and the area is well proportioned thanks to 17-ft 3-in. beam for relaxation and entertainment with an L-shape lounge, a home theater system, a dinette, and an L-shape galley complemented with Amtico flooring, and an island fronted with a pair of bar stools. Rich Juno teak joinery and furniture throughout the yacht, custom designer furnishings and dry good create a spectacular aura of refinement and luxury.

The 142 square-foot cockpit offers the convenience and comfort of our exclusive observation mezzanine, while the flying bridge showcases our exclusive center console helm station arrangement with flanking lounges and forward seating.

The Viking 52 Convertible can be customized with Palm Beach Towers and Atlantic Marine Electronics equipment and accessories and be delivered turnkey ready.

We invite you to contact your Viking dealer about this model and to arrange a sea trial and tour of the 862,000 square foot Viking facility on the Bass River near Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Seaworthy and smart for the ultimate cruising experience

The avant-garde, new benchmark for blue-water cruising

The Outremer 52 has been designed based on the observation of the owners’ needs and uses. While performance and safety have always been the basis for the design of Outremer blue water catamarans, simplicity of navigation and quality of life on board are the two essential components that completes the specifications of Outremer teams. Surrounded by the best naval architects (VPLP), and great names in French design (Patrick Le Quément, Darnet Design, Saguez & Partners), the Outremer shipyard has engineered a smart and seaworthy 52-foot catamaran for the ultimate bluewater cruising experience.

Outstanding visibility

Since the performance of a catamaran is largely determined by its weight, ingenuity was required to build the structure of this new model. An innovative technology developed by the Gunboat shipyard (also a member of the Grand Large Yachting Group), has made it possible to reduce the weight of the structure, while maintaining a high level of resistance. This has made it possible to increase the glass surfaces and openings in the boat that allows crews the reassuring benefit from increased visibility during navigation, regardless of their position in the saloon or cockpit.

Whether for ocean crossing, sailing around the world, or along the coast, this 52-foot catamaran will make sailors and their families feel both safe and comfortable on their liveaboard boat.

Improved user experience

This new model has been designed to make life on board easier in all circumstances. While it benefits from the upgrades of the Outremer 55, such as the different helm positions, the front view from the saloon and the helm bench adapted for two people, the Outremer 52 goes even further. The architectural communication between the interior and exterior living spaces allows for better watchkeeping on board: at the bar area in the cockpit, for example, it is possible to have a meal while continuing to keep watch ahead. At night, watches can be taken from the saloon’s bench which was designed in the direction of the navigation.

Inviting space

Everything has been carefully thought out to allow the enjoyment of every aspect of life on board. The Outremer 52 is a blue water cruising catamaran filled with natural light, offering living spaces adapted to long voyages. The common living spaces have been designed to facilitate circulation on board, to extend the feeling of wide-open spaces and to allow for festive moments with family or friends. The full opening of the bay window allows easy circulation and creates a convivial space between the cockpit and the saloon. The kitchen’s work surface is open to the interior and exterior spaces of the catamaran, and will undoubtedly be a privileged place to meet at any time of the day.

Customized and modular interior designs

To meet the very different needs of each catamaran owner, Outremer has designed a modular space called My Free Space. Located in the port forward cabin, this space can cover five different uses:

  • a double cabin
  • a convertible office with bunk beds
  • a modular cabin, with an office convertible into a workshop, a folding bench and numerous storage spaces
  • a dressing room
  • a child’s cabin

Crew of ONEIDA|Captain

Captain: Sotiris Drokalos

Sotiris Drokalos - Captain His name is Sotiris but everyone calls him "Captain SO." Everything he knows about himself is that he loves the sea, that he was born near it, that he lives by and for it. His sailing experience began when he was ten years old, thanks to his father who bought him his first windsurf. This is when he decided to follow his dream of becoming a seafarer. He has spent more than ten years as a captain on a variety of sailing vessels in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Because of his sailing experience, calmness, dedication, and vigilance, he can safely sail you under any circumstances and he will do my best to ensure that your holiday exceeds your higher expectations! A bit more of me... S.C.U.B.A. is one of his hobbies. Diving, flying ultralight aircraft, skiing, windsurfing, playing the guitar, playing and designing board games are all things he enjoys doing but ultimately, all he does is spend his free time with his 3-year-old twins. Don't forget... "A bad day of sailing is much better than a good day of working" See you aboard. Maria Karageorgiou - Chef Maria is an experienced Chef with a diverse culinary background spanning over two decades. Beginning her career in mass catering, she has honed her skills across various cuisines, specializing in Greek and Mediterranean flavors. With a passion for cooking instilled from early experiences, she pursued formal training and attended seminars, enriching her expertise in international cuisines. Known for her responsibility, creativity, and team spirit, Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to every culinary endeavor. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.">Price Terms: Plus Expenses
