Instagram Screenshot
The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is back for its 32nd edition, promising an unparalleled experience for yacht aficionados and lifestyle enthusiasts alike. Scheduled to run from September 27th to 30th, 2023, the event is renowned as the world's largest annual gathering of superyachts. This year, the show aims to be more than just a spectacle; it aspires to be an "ecosystem" of yachting, focusing on innovation, sustainability, and visitor engagement.
The "Seducation" Program: A Three-Year Odyssey
The 2023 event marks the culmination of the first cycle of the MYS's three-year "Seducation" program. Designed in collaboration with industry leaders, the initiative rests on four pillars: environmental innovation, design, yachting education, and visitor experience. The program aims to solidify the MYS's standing as the global benchmark for luxury yachting while offering an enriching and unforgettable experience for attendees.
Themed Exhibitions and Innovative Hubs
Since 2021, the MYS has organized its exhibition around various themes, including the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub and the Sustainability Hub. These specialized areas offer insights into the future of yachting, showcasing eco-friendly technologies and groundbreaking designs. The Adventure Area and the Dockside Area provide a more hands-on experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the world of yachting and its associated activities.
A Fleet Like No Other
This year, the show is set to feature an awe-inspiring fleet of 127 superyachts and megayachts, including eagerly awaited launches for 2023. These floating marvels represent the pinnacle of nautical engineering and luxury, offering prospective buyers and enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the latest the industry has to offer.
More Than Just Yachts
But it's not just about the boats. The MYS also serves as a platform for leading yachting companies to exhibit the latest lifestyle trends onboard these luxurious vessels. From state-of-the-art amenities to innovative interior designs, the show promises a comprehensive look at the yachting lifestyle.
Conferences and Expert Consultations
For those considering yacht ownership, the MYS offers daytime conferences featuring industry experts. These sessions provide invaluable insights into yacht acquisition and ownership, connecting attendees with qualified professionals who can help bring their yachting dreams to fruition.
A Commitment to Sustainability
The MYS is committed to promoting sustainable practices within the yachting industry. This commitment is evident in its focus on eco-responsible technologies and its efforts to address current societal challenges, including environmental conservation.
In summary, the Monaco Yacht Show 2023 is shaping up to be an event that transcends the traditional boat show model. By focusing on sustainability, innovation, and visitor engagement, it aims to offer a holistic experience that educates, inspires, and delights. Mark your calendars; this is one nautical event you won't want to miss.

MONACO YACHT SHOW 2023
Countdown: Monaco Yacht Show 2023
With the industry’s most hotly anticipated event just around the corner, we take a look at what lies in store for mys 2023….
With just days until the industry’s most hotly anticipated event opens its doors to yachting aficionados from all around the globe, we take a look – and a much-needed breath – to see what’s in store.
Kicking off between the 27th and 30th September in Port Hercule, the Monaco Yacht Show 2023 is set to showcase a grand total of 111 yachts over 30m, with attendee figures slated to be more than 30,000 and more than 450 major companies represented from across the industry.
With competition to see the boats in person likely to be particularly fierce this year, it is worth being prepared to wait your turn, unless you’re in the fortunate position of actually looking to buy. Highlights include the iconic, freshly refitted Tim Heywood-designed 97m Lürssen superyacht Carinthia VII , which has a ‘touch-and-go’ bow helipad, 12m swimming pool and top-notch guest accommodation split across two decks.
Sold to a new owner by Fraser Yachts just ahead of MYS 2022 for an asking price of €95m, Carinthia VII will undoubtedly be a popular choice for tours this year and looks set to be the largest yacht in attendance.
Notably, there are no confirmed 100m plus vessels on the attendance list this year, but moving down the size rankings slightly, there will be a total of nine superyachts above 80m on display. This includes the 84m Feadship Savannah , which has been listed for the first time since its delivery in 2015.
Launched by Feadship’s facility in Aalsmeer, the head-turning superyacht is often cited as the world’s first diesel-electric hybrid motoryacht, with its power provided by a main diesel engine with three gensets, as well as a megawatt of storage batteries alongside an azimuth thruster. Her innovative design is the result of a combination of Studio De Voogt and Cristina Gherardi Bernadeau and Marello Bozzarelli from Paris-based CG Design and includes such design hallmarks as a floating superstructure and an underwater lounge.
Described as both “peerless” and “one of the most iconic yachts to ever grace the water” by the broker, Edmiston president Robert Shepherd, who says, “There are yachts, then there are Feadships, and then there is Savannah ,” enthuses Shepherd. “Words can’t describe my excitement and the honour of being appointed as the broker for this marvel of a superyacht.”
Read more in our exclusive interview here , and, if you’re lucky, you can see Savannah for yourself at the show at Berth R03, Quai Rainer 1er at the Monaco Yacht Show.
As the industry continues to work at being less myopic and taking its environmental responsibilities more seriously, it is of significance that the Sustainability Hub will be making a reappearance at the 2023 show.
Hosted in collaboration with the Water Revolution Foundation and sponsored by Siemens Energy, the exhibitors who will be found in the dedicated 200m 2 space in Darse Sud are vetted in advance. This is to ensure that only eligible companies with genuine and viable sustainable solutions are included, to avoid any dangers of so-called ‘greenwashing’.
As Water Revolution Executive Director Robert Van Tol says: “This exhibition area is designed to showcase technologies that bring concrete improvements to the world of yachting, including the health of the oceans. We aim to support exhibitors, service providers, and visitors alike in finding viable solutions to environmental challenges.”
Keen to practise what they preach, MYS also hosted a webinar for exhibitors and show suppliers in early summer to discuss its three-phase Cabon Neutrality Transition Plan – which is aiming to reduce CO 2 emissions by 60% by 2025 compared to 2022, alongside aligning with the Principality of Monaco’s aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Finally, as owners continue to display their interest in reaching further flung destinations, whether via private or charter yachts, the popular Adventure Area will also be making its return in 2023, spanning two locations within Port Hercule. A display of luxury vehicles, water toys and tenders will be accessible at Quai Antoine 1er, with 20 tenders found at Quai Jarlan, including luxurious off-road vehicles, top-tier gadgets and helicopters, as well as showcasing some of the world’s most cutting-edge and exciting water toys.
The Superyacht Group team will be out in force, wearing our signature red, at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show and we look forward to catching up with our friends and colleagues there.

The top sailing yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023
From the latest launches to the finest yachts currently for sale, we take a look at the top supersized sailing yachts that will be making an appearance at the 2023 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show later this month.
White Island
Length: 39m Builder: Aegean Yacht
White Island is one of the latest custom creations from Turkish shipyard Aegean Yacht . Her neoclassic design is a modern take on a traditional gulet with two masts, a raised deckhouse and a long bowsprit. A 261GT interior sleeps 10 guests.
Length: 35m Builder: Nautor Swan
The suitably named Fancy is the first in a new line of Swan Maxis. The new Swan 108 plugs the gap between the Swan 98 and the Swan 120 flagship with modified exterior styling by Micheletti + Partners and naval architecture by German Frers . One of the more noticeable evolutions is the yacht's dual-acting transom door, which sees the stern open along with part of the aft deck to create a generous waterfront beach club, offering nearly double the space than on previous Maxis. A second unit is already underway at the Finnish shipyard.
Length : 29.7m Builder : YYachts
The new flagship of YYachts , Bella , will make her first appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show this year following delivery in November 2022. She is the first unit in the shipyard's Y9 series designed by Bill Tripp and eclipses its former flagship, Prevail , by 2.3 metres. Built entirely in carbon fibre, she is a performance cruiser and has been carefully designed to sail with as little as two crew, with the mainsheet centred on the bimini top keeping the social cockpit clear of sheets.
Length : 53m Builder : Alloy Yachts
Drumbeat was built for an experienced yachtsman and delivered in 2000 as the second in the Salperton dynasty. Not only was she the biggest boat ever built by shipyard Alloy Yachts , but she was the largest yacht to be built in New Zealand. Designed by Ed Dubois, she is fitted with a carbon ketch Panamax rig that flies 2,400 square metres of sail downwind. Drumbeat has had the same owner since 2007 but is now offered for sale.
Drumbeat is listed for sale with Atalante asking €22,000,000.
State of Grace
Length: 39.4m Builder: Perini Navi
State of Grace was launched in 2013 as one of Perini Navi ’s 40m Fast Cruising series, a collaboration between Perini Navi and Ron Holland . She was built with an aluminium hull and her sailing credentials include a 51.8-metre Southern Spars mast, captive reel winches, and a 17-tonne swing keel that reduces her draught from 9.1 to 3.5 metres. Inside, she has a split-level saloon, sleeps nine, and is offered for sale following a comprehensive refit and 10-year class survey.
State of Grace is asking €11,750,000 with Cecil Wright & Partners .
Length : 43.3m Builder : Baltic Yachts
The brief for Canova was for the ultimate cruiser with a design that prioritised comfort, enabled short-handed sailing, and offered plenty of shade in the cockpit. Twin helm stations are positioned close to the bulwarks for forward visibility; the mainsheet track is set out of harm’s way on the coachroof, well-distanced from guests and crew; and a self-tacking jib is sheeted forward of the mast to avoid flailing sheets sweeping the side decks. What's more, she has a hybrid engine and DSS foil which makes her uber-efficient. The Baltic Yachts and Farr Yacht Design collaboration won Sailing Yacht of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards .
Sunreef 80 Eco
Length : 23.9m Builder : Sunreef Yachts
Sunreef’s 80 Eco model combines catamaran comfort with an impressive list of green tech – including solar panels on every surface. The "eco" version of Sunreef's bestselling catamaran can run for days, weeks or even months without burning a drop of fossil fuel – enough to cross an ocean – thanks to a powerful 200-square-metre, fully battened main and a 155-square-metre jib, variable pitch propellers that generate energy under sail, and up to 160 square metres of solar panels.

27 - 30 Sep 2023
By Katie Scott
Monaco's premium yachting event is scheduled to return once again to the beautiful Port Hercule.
Pushing all the boundaries for the utmost VIP indulgence, the Monaco Yacht Show is once again set to welcome a plethora of luxury charter yachts and prestige yachts for sale to the coast of Monte Carlo.
Scheduled to run from 27-30 September 2023, this edition will continue the successful operation of the badge system introduced in 2021, where visitors to the Monaco event will have the opportunity to view some of the most esteemed yachts on the market and truly make the most of the exclusive VIP environment.
Iconic yachts
Primarily aimed at the end-user, the ethos behind the event is to allow all visitors the chance to taste the pure indulgence of superyachts in person and even find out more about making use of your very own Monaco yacht charter .
With some of the biggest names in the industry attending like Benetti, Sunseeker, and Azimut, the models on display are never anything short of impressive and give a prime example of all the types of yachts available to buy.
With around 600 exhibitors expected to appear throughout the duration, specified areas will be created for motor yachts, tenders and toys, premium shopping and, naturally, live entertainment.
A social agenda
Home to some of the biggest social events of the year including the world-renowned Monaco Grand Prix , it comes as no surprise that the Monaco Yacht Show also puts on a show for the VIPs.
Based around the VIP Sapphire Experience, visitors with VIP tickets have the ability to make use of exclusive facilities throughout the event and relax in premium settings with captivating views of the marina.

Monaco Yacht Show 2023: The Largest Yachts on Display
By Frances Flannagan
The iconic Monaco Yacht Show is set to return for its 32nd edition this September; an exceptional industry-wide annual event that exudes unparalleled grandeur and status. To match the magnificent nature of this event, it is no surprise that some of the world’s most spectacular superyachts, both new and old, look to the show as the very best industry stage. We take a look at the five largest vessels on display for its 2023 edition.
97.2m CARINTHIA VII
On display with: Lürssen and Fraser
CARINTHIA VII is a 97.2m motor yacht built by Lürssen Yachts in 2002. With exterior lines and interior design penned by Tim Heywood, she is a vessel that boasts unmatched timelessness. Refitted in 2023, she has a sleek steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with a draft of 4.8m and a beam of 15.95m.
Ranking 68th on Superyachts.com’s Top 100 largest yachts list, she is a highly impressive vessel, able to accommodate up to 12 guests and 15 crew members. She has four MTU 8000 engines, with the ability to reach 25 knots at top speed.
95.2m KISMET
On display with: Cecil Wright
Launched in 2014, KISMET is a 95.2m custom motor yacht from Lürssen, featuring exterior design by Espen Oeino and interiors penned by Reymond Langton Design. She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with a gross tonnage of 2700 tonnes, a max draft of 3.9 feet and a beam of 13.80 feet.
KISMET is a perfect vessel for performance as well as for leisure, with a top speed of 17 knots and a range of 6000 NM, as well as being fitted with a jacuzzi, helicopter landing pad and beauty salon. These relaxation opportunities and impressive performance capabilities can be enjoyed by up to 16 guests, whilst also able to house 27 crew members. KISMET ranks at 73 on our Top 100 list.
83.5m SAVANNAH
On display with: Feadship
SAVANNAH represents something new within sustainability in the superyacht industry, widely considered to be one of the first true hybrid motor yachts. This 83.5m yacht is one of the most award-winning Feadships on the water. Not only representing a new phase of evolution with regards to sustainability, SAVANNAH is a masterpiece of innovation through design, with a ‘floating superstructure’ that gives her a recognisable, yet timeless profile.
She was built in 2015, with exterior design by De Voogt Naval Architects and CG Design, who also assisted in the interior styling. The experience on board that is offered to guests is as impressive as the other aspects of her design, with an underwater lounge, cinema, and pool; the ultimate superyacht paradise.
80m LEONA
On display with: Bilgin Yachts
Launched in November 2022, 80m LEONA is the second hull launched from Bilgin Yachts’ Bilgin 263 series. With an eye-catching red hull and gleaming white superstructure, she caught attention from her very first sighting. She has a beam of 12.25m and a draft of 3.5m, with the ability to reach up to 19 knots.
Unique Yacht Design are responsible for her naval architecture and exteriors, boasting exclusive and large spaces on board, making her the ideal entertainment vessel for the 10 guests she can accommodate. Interiors were penned by H2 Yacht Design, with a cinema, gym and sauna being notable amenities on board.
77.74m O’REA
On display with: Golden Yachts
In May of this year, Golden Yachts launched their 77.74m superyacht O’REA. Featuring exterior design by Studio Vafiadis, she is characterised by a powerful profile. Studio Vafiadis and Massari Design collaborated on her interiors; a contemporary design that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces. Over 250 finishes, materials and precious stones were used to decorate the stunning interior spaces, showing her to be the pinnacle of luxury.
The ultimate relaxation escape, O’REA has an expansive swimming pool, a health bar and a spa and sauna. She is powered by twin Caterpillar engines and is equipped with a Dynamic Positioning System, meaning that she can hold place without dropping anchor.
We for one are extremely excited to see this lineup, alongside numerous other yachts at the show this year. The Monaco Yacht Show will be taking place from the 27th to the 30th September.
"I am very proud that after building Carinthia VII, we have now been able to participate in her new lease on life with an extensive refit." Peter Lürssen, Managing Partner, Lürssen

Championing the exceptional: details of the 2024 edition of The Honours revealed
Press release - September 12, 2024
Amsterdam & Monaco, 12 September 2024 Encountering undeniable success in its first year, the second edition of The Honours is now fast approaching: The Superyacht Life Foundation and Monaco Yacht Show are excited to reveal more details as we eagerly await the unveiling of the exceptional people behind the 2024 Honourees.
The exclusive event will this year take place on the eve of the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show on 24 September, and once again will focus on the most impactful and inspiring people within the superyacht industry. The impatience was palpable last year as guests prepared to hear the inaugural Honourees: the beautiful evening spotlighting stories within a setting that inspired memorable moments, surrounded by experiential art in an impressive Monegasque gallery. This year, the expert panel of judges - esteemed figures with a wealth of experience across eight different sectors, received almost 300 nominations from across the yachting industry: from start-up founders, business and thought leaders, to yacht owners and foundation initiators, a breadth of stories inspired them as they narrowed down the selection further and further, letting the three laureates emerge. From the curated shortlist of exceptional nominees, we witnessed tales of extraordinary determination towards shaping a positive superyachting community, whilst rippling impact at a societal level. 2024’s nominations were carefully analysed through the criteria of: impact and achievement, leadership and influence, service and commitment to the industry and society at large, innovation and creativity, and last but not least integrity and character of each individual. The innovative, first-ever evening concept was conceived with a simple goal in mind: to shift the spotlight away from the well-celebrated yachts and shine it on the extraordinary humans of the superyacht industry who are doing extraordinary things. Created by The Superyacht Life Foundation in association with the Monaco Yacht Show, and sponsored by Agusta, Feadship, Fred, Jetex, Richard Mille, Sanlorenzo and automative partner Mercedes-Maybach, this year’s guests will be hosted in an iconic venue, Salle des Étoiles, Monte-Carlo Sporting. The experiential-style evening of The Honours will contribute further to the magic and be themed around the fascinating life stories of the three Honourees, with esteemed guests given the opportunity to meet face-to-face. Each Honouree will, once again, be presented with a coveted Bowspirit award, crafted by Preciosa in carbon and crystal glass; a symbol of the ripple effect of their actions, of those at the cutting edge, charting a new course and gathering momentum behind them as the waves of their actions propagate and spread. Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show - “The exceptional people in our industry are a testament to its extraordinary nature. I am thrilled to celebrate these individuals alongside the yachts on display in Port Hercule once again this year. From exploration and craftsmanship to sustainability and philanthropy, the stories emerging from the yachting community reflect true success of impact on the wider world.” Dilan Saraç, Executive Director of The Superyacht Life Foundation - “I’m thrilled about the second edition of The Honours – a vital opportunity to highlight the incredible individuals in our industry who are driving positive change toward creating a brighter, more compassionate, and more regenerative future. I can’t wait to share their inspiring stories and give them the recognition they truly deserve.”
