As a key member of the product development team, I'm thrilled to share the journey behind our innovative 41-foot walkaround day yacht. From concept to creation, our focus was on delivering unmatched versatility and luxury to our discerning clientele. The inclusion of up to two cabins and multiple layout options in both the main and lower decks was born out of extensive market research and customer feedback. We meticulously crafted each layout to optimise space utilisation and enhance the onboard experience, whether for day trips or extended stays. A new hull was developed to implement this ground-breaking concept, featuring the world's largest T-top. In addition to outstanding sun protection, this creates the space for a top-class interior and deck design.

Thanks to the new hull with higher freeboard, there is significantly more volume in the interior to maximize comfort and the sense of space. Fjord 41XL features the largest in-class hull windows, which provide plenty of light and complement the iconic design, crowned by the mighty T-top. Sturdy roof pillars are integrated into the bulwarks to complete the design-optimized interaction of hull, superstructure, and helm station. In addition to maximum stability, this also guarantees the greatest possible ease of movement on deck. Truly a spectacular and unprecedented yacht that offers a total of 90 possible combinations, Fjord 41XL can be adapted to all individual wishes.

Definitely oriented towards cruising, the FJORD 41, with her two real cabins, redefines the design of a large, versatile open boat.

Her committed but constant design subtly updates the typical style of the FJORD brand.

Once again the architect, Patrick Banfield, has taken up the dynamics and has focused on updating the interior and exterior modularity.

We find the characteristic FJORD bow, and on the sides of the hull, stretch long windows to port and starboard to flood the cabins

with natural light.

Deflectors integrated in the entry section of the hull efficiently protect from sea spray: The FJORD 41 performs serenely, her ride is dry.

Several cockpit arrangements are available in the FJORD 41, all sheltered by a new style of T TOP. The upright widening to the main beam, create an enlarged protection area.

Whether fixed or free standing, the cockpit seating of the FJORD 41 leaves to your imagination the ability to create a unique and personalized lounge space.

Only the perfectly arranged and functional bar / kitchen unit remains in the central position to separate the control station which accommodates 3 or 4 team members facing the sea (depending on version).

Traffic on board is secured by a deep deck plan with a high freeboard. Access to the front sundeck is flowing. The FJORD 41 takes care of her guests in all circumstances.

At the end of the day, her two cabins accommodate up to 5 people. A second galley can be fitted in the lobby, in place of an office desk, a large sofa or a second bathroom. You may prefer to choose a large open space by reducing the bulkheads.

With the modularity of her various layouts, inspired by larger motor yachts, the FJORD 41 respects the character which has contributed to the success of the FJORD brand.

Enjoying its UK debut at the Southampton Boat Show is the smallest of Fjord’s elegant daycruiser fleet, the Fjord 39XL

The Fjord 39XL comes as standard with twin helm seats offset to starboard behind the large central console. There’s also a large aft bench and a big open deck to make the most of the boat’s fluid zero-step walkaround design. As a high-end Med-style party platform it’s a very easy boat to customise too.

There are six alternative upper deck layouts, revolving around the use of aft benches, a galley and a T-top. There are also two lower deck arrangements that subtly tweak the base layout’s bow cabin and starboard heads.

It’s available with Verado V10 400s but the diesels do good things for the aft end.

But for us, the Fjord 39XL looks best with three helm seats, backing onto a transverse galley, with a large central dinette and an aft sunpad. And you can take the custom approach further with your engine choice too.

While you could of course opt for the outboard-powered XP variant with a pair of V10 Verado 400s, in this XL guise, with either a pair of D4-320s or (more commonly) D6-440s under the engine hatch, you get a full-beam aft platform with an electric ladder for user-friendly watersports and a posh way to board from a stern-to berth.

Accommodation
