There are many beautiful Q24s sailing about, so it’s only right and proper that we have a page devoted to them. So here we are! If you own a 24, you’re welcome to post. This picnic-style daysailer has had significant upgrades and restoration work.
Designed by Ted Brewer with a cutaway full keel, she is admired for her lines similar to that of an Alerion. The design plan was to build a sturdy fiberglass coastal cruiser that catches ones eye when she sails into a port. With accommodations for 3, including a large ice box, a stainless steel sink and a comfortable cockpit, this boat is compared to the Morris and the Alerion all the time.

The Boat. A Little History. Our Quickstep 21 was designed by Michael Price for the late Gary Lannigan who owned Quickstep Sailboats of Bristol, RI. The boats were originally equipped with Thurston or Hood sails and were available with a variety of fine options from roller furling, to a cruising spinnaker, to teak cockpit gratings.
