Doryan is a custom sailing yacht launched in 2015 by Baltic Yachts , in Finland.

Doryan measures 35.40 metres in length, with a max draft of 5.50 feet and a beam of 8.25 feet. She has a deck material of composite.

Born in 1985 and acting initially as a yard, Nauta Yachts presented a style and an idea to the market which proved instantly successful, as they designed and built semi-custom sailing yachts, both innovative and soberly elegant. They produced sailing yachts which were both innovative at that time and featuring timeless beauty, such as the Nauta 54’, 70’ and 65’ semi-custom series.

Lady in Red: Baltic Yachts launches Doryan, a sizzling, scarlet 116ft carbon bluewater superyacht

It takes a brave person to choose such a bold colour. But when you’ve ordered such an elegant new design, why not show it off?

Doryan is the arresting new scarlet Baltic, 116ft of pure performance in comfort, designed by Nauta and judel / vrolijk & co

The design brief was for “a timeless and elegant yacht offering long-term living comfort and space for joyful and private down time,” according to the Finnish composite specialists. Think lots of stowage and plentiful tank volume (13,000L), allocated for long term unassisted passage-making.

judel / vrolijk & co designed the hull, and Nauta Design is responsible for the sleek exterior styling and warm interior design. Doryan has the current trend of a hard top carbon bimini – “integral to the Owner’s vision of providing a sheltered position for friends and family to enjoy their cruising,” says Baltic Yachts. She also has an extra large stern garage to house plenty of toys, plus a triple cockpit layout with separate areas for navigation, living, and sunbathing.

Doryan is designed to sail short-handed with push-button controls for all sails at the helm, including the in-boom main, and furlers for the staysail and blade. Her T-keel lifts two metres (to 3.5m) to access waters normally off limits to superyachts.

And remember she’s a Baltic, so is of top-end composite construction. Doryan’s hull is built in vacuum-infused epoxy and carbon sandwich laminate to be stiff, light and strong. She weighs 95 tonnes.

The warm Nauta interior predominantly uses teak, plus maple-striped floorboards to give an elegant, timeless look. The accommodation comprises an owner’s suite and two guest cabins forward. There are two more guest cabins aft, plus three cabins for six permanent crew.

Baltic Yachts also have a 115 due for launch this August, and a 130 due to launch next summer – plus a 175 footer in construction. See more here: Baltic Yachts

The Superb 116 Doryan By Baltic Yachts

I’m not sure what Rod Stewart is sailing on these days, but I’m quite sure he’s gonna want one of these. Baltic Yachts has just delivered a truly impressive sailing yacht, the stunning 35.5-meter new blue water cruiser Doryan . A collaborative effort, this sleek yacht features an incredible interior design courtesy of Nauta Design, while the exterior and naval architecture was handled by judel/vrolijk & co.

The finished result looks equally impressive on open waters as well as anchored in a secluded bay. With a spacious deck, Doryan is ideal for a bit of sunbathing while sailing smoothly on the seas. Designed with convenience and efficiency in mind, Doryan’s sails can be managed through a dedicated remote control system and bush buttons on the aft cockpit.

With an open and luxurious ambiance, passengers will fall in love with the yacht’s modern design, that’s equally impressive and minimalist. Initially, the team imagined a timeless and elegant sailing yacht, and Doryan certainly delivers. Its striking bold red hull boasts unique lines and a sharp silhouette, which will easily get anyone’s attention.

No worries, as the wraparound deck house and its big cockpit aft with two large U-shaped lounge areas will protect you from the elements. With a contemporary design, this comfortable, stylish and open area is the ideal place to enjoy serene views of the ocean and the experience of cruising the open waters in style.

Inside, the main interior guest area features a spacious raised deck main saloon, a dining area seating 8 to 10 guests comfortably, the crew quarters and galley. Otherwise, big panoramic windows, and the stunning vista views they provide, will make you forget about anything else.

There are five guest suites to be found on-board, with the large full beam master suite fore being the most sumptuous one. This means a large stateroom, and an impressively big en suite with bath tub, separate shower area and a warm atmosphere.

Doryan’s four remaining guest suites, two directly following the master quarters and two aft of the main saloon, are similarly styled. Noise reduction, separate areas for living, sunbathing and operation, are all part of the Doryan luxury package. You should spare no costs to enjoy at least a second of that.

Baltic Yachts delivered with Doryan a yacht that fits my personal requirements on many levels. Stylish design, equipped to explore the world with a lot of comfort and thanks to high-tech materials like composite epoxy and carbon fiber with performance. Another important point to make it a dream yacht for me: A lifting keel to reduce the draft from 5.50m to 3.50m to enjoy time in smaller ports or anchoring in shallow bays.

The cockpit is covered by a carbon-fibre bimini.

The whole living space inside has a warm furniture but is also lightweight, built in carbon fiber and epoxy laminates with teak surfaces or other luxury materials like leather.

The owners resided forward with en suite bathroom, four guest cabins are behind and in the front of the main saloon. The crew quarter with mess, cabins, galley, navigation desk and laundry are at the aft area with an own entrance between cockpit and helm station. So the crew can do a lot of work with privacy for owners and guests.

Tender storage is in a garage at the stern with an openable transom that also the bathing platform.

The interiors of luxury yacht Doryan feature the beautiful and clean lines, with the teak mixed up with light colored panels creating a classic yet timeless atmosphere. Accommodation is provided to up to 8 guests in 4 elegant cabins, including the spacious owner’s cabin with en-suite bathroom situated near the bow and three cabins for the guests. There is also space for the vessel’s crew in the captain’s cabin and two crew cabins.

Builder: Bilgin Yachts Length: 80m Delivery Year: 2023

Leona's crimson hull comes from Antalya-based Unique Yacht Design , marking the ninth collaboration between the shipyard and the British design studio. She’s colloquially called “the Red Bullet” thanks to her svelte profile and pointed bow. An extravagant beach club pool is worth noting, flanked by Greek statues sitting on water outlets and rigged with overhead fibre optic lights to give the appearance of the night sky.

Builder: Rossinavi Length: 59.4m Delivery Year: 2023

Akula is Rossinavi’s first-ever explorer yacht. Ice-classified, she sports a stand-out scarlet hull and white aluminium superstructure designed by Gian Paolo Nari . Her layout is specifically designed to support marine research and philanthropic projects, including storage for various diving equipment and two six-metre containers that can act as transportable science labs. No matter where her adventures take her, she is sure to stand out.

Highland Fling XVIII

Builder: Gunboat Length: 24.7m Delivery Year: 2023

Highland Fling XVIII is expected to be one of the fastest in its size bracket and, as such, a racing-red hull seemed an appropriate fit. The first unit in the flagship Gunboat 80 series, this semi-custom model carves a striking scarlet silhouette in the water and is capable of exceeding true wind speed at just six knots. Highland Fling XVIII is currently undergoing sea trials in La Grande Motte, France, joined by her racing team who plan to put her performance to the test. Her racing debut is anticipated for September 2023 at the Maxi Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo.

Quinta Essentia

Builder: Admiral - The Italian Sea Group Length: 55m Delivery Year: 2016

This cream and burgundy palette is a more modest entry courtesy of Dobroserdov Design . Quinta Essentia's distinctive hull and superstructure details are inspired by the owners’ love for Tuscany’s wine region, specifically the deep shade of red created when swirling Merlot in a glass. There are further odes to Tuscany in the olive-coloured bedroom silks and subtle décor motifs of grapes, leaves and trees.

Builder: Mondomarine Length: 49.2m Delivery Year: 2016

Milanese studio Hot Lab delivered a masterclass in maximalist design with Ipanema . Her cherry-red hull goes hand in hand with a decadent interior, finished with varnished wall panelling, loud bas-reliefs, and ruched curtains. More than a dozen types of marble were used in the creation of this superyacht, including white onyx and Ming green. 

Builder: Cheoy Lee Length: 46m Delivery Year: 2012

Avalon is one of two Transocean Explorer models built by Chinese shipyard Cheoy Lee. What sets Avalon apart from sistership Dorothea III is her eye-catching paint job, with identical pops of colour found in the Biminis, sun pads, and sofa cushions on the sundeck. Under previous ownership (when she was known as Qing ) the colour was even brought inside, paired with other sunset hues. 

Builder: Liman Length: 40.6m Delivery Year: 2014

Formerly known as Artpolars , Oktamar's bold exterior is rivalled only by her own interior decor, courtesy of FR Design and the owner’s eccentric tastes. “[The owner] bought a mountain of marble, a football field of leather, [and] a large selection of golden bath accessories,” explained Jaron Ginton of Ginton Naval Architects . “It may not be the most economical way of choosing, but you do get the desired result.” 

Builder: Baltic Yachts Length: 35.5m Delivery Year: 2015

Sailing yacht Doryan boasts features typically seen in high-performance racing yachts, including a narrow profile, a carbon hull and foam-cored joinery. Nauta Yachts collaborated with Judel/Vrolijk on the exteriors, with the flushed finish explained by the owner’s love of supercars – specifically, the metallic red of his father’s favourite Lamborghini. “She’s a beautiful lady […] a real granturismo,” said Mario Pedol of Nauta Yachts. 

Builder: AB Yachts Length: 30.5m Delivery Year: 2023  

Launched in April of this year, AB100 is the latest unit in AB Yachts’ Sportfly series. The bold hull was designed in-house and features a sporty profile meant to evoke a traditional Formula 1 racing car. With triple caterpillar engines, AB100 lives up to its hot-rod exterior by reaching eye-watering speeds of 50 knots. An unexpected addition to this high-octane model is the integrated Jacuzzi found at the bow, complete with protective awnings.

Builder: Nautor Swan Length: 30.2m Delivery Year: 2003

Red Sky holds the title of the only Swan 100 RS model ever made. Affectionately called “the Red Sled” among crew, according to ex-skipper Ryan Hanger, her hull is painted in a shade known as “Cardinal Red”. This sailing yacht spent two decades cruising New England, the Chesapeake and the Caribbean, and has also made several transatlantic crossings, all with only a four-man crew. According to BOAT Pro , she was most recently spotted near Prudence Island in the United States.

Builder: Sarp Yachts Length: 26m Delivery Year: 2022

Edge's exterior and interiors were appropriately designed by Red Yacht Design , who picked the shade “Porsche Guards Red” for the hull. With a car-inspired helm station on the flybridge and reflective windows so cleanly flush that you might never guess they’re really doors, the design’s automotive inspiration is clear. The black superstructure and robust lines boost the motor yacht’s sporty look. 

Builder: Perini Navi Length: 45.3m Delivery Year: 2007

Owned by Formula One's Eddie Jordan, Blush is the only sailing yacht in the shipyard's fleet to feature a dark red hull – officially a shade of "Merlot". She was designed by award-winner Ron Holland and her acoustic engineering allows her to keep quiet across all areas of operation. A family-friendly build, Blush's master cabin can be divided in two via a mahogany wall panel, adapting the space into a fifth cabin if needed. Blush is available for charter with Camper & Nicholsons .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht 's new season will be anything but smooth sailing.

That's because returning costars Daisy Kelliher and Gary King are anything but friendly after their failed boatmance in E! News' exclusive first look at the Bravo series' fifth season.

Following Daisy, Gary and BDSY alum Colin MacRae 's messy love triangle , Daisy is still reeling from the complicated and dramatic fallout from last season.

"Going into this season, I got rid of some dead weight," the newly single Chief Stew says in the trailer. "The breakup did a number on me last year. I felt very broken. But now, I'm coming back in more focused, full of energy and I'm f--king good at my job. And I'm taking back the reigns."

Despite her initial confidence about returning to the Parsifal III , Daisy adds, "It's gonna be a s--t show."

Cut to the Ireland native yelling at Gary, "Guess what? We have a f--king job to do and I'm not f--king carrying this season on my own, you f--king pr--k!"

But luckily for Daisy, the preview teases her quickly moving on with new Deckhand Keith Allen , who tells Gary, "Daisy would make a very good wife. No?"

As for Gary's response, he bursts out laughing at the crewmember's declaration.

However, Daisy feels the same about Keith and tells him, "You're the kind of person I've never met before."

And when it comes to this season's charter guests, the yachties have too much of a good time with one group on shore.

After a night out, Captain Glenn Shephard warns the team, "You guys went out with some guests, I set some ground rules. Two drinks maximum. You knew the rules, you broke the f--king rules, and now you're here getting upset."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is coming back for season 5 after Gary King’s sexual misconduct scandal.

Bravo announced on Monday, September 16, that the next season reunites Captain Glenn Shephard , chief stew Daisy Kelliher and Gary as they spend their charter season in Ibiza. The rest of the cast includes chef Cloyce Martin , chef engineer Davide Morosi , stews Diana Cruz , Danni Warren and deckhands Keith Allen and Emma Crouch .

The upcoming installment comes more than one year after Below Deck Sailing Yacht wrapped up its fourth season on Bravo in July 2023.

Gary’s future as a cast member has been up in the air, however, since a production assistant from the show accused him of making unwanted advances while filming season 4.

In a Rolling Stone exposé, which was published in October 2023, Samantha Suarez and other former employees, who asked to remain anonymous, accused Bravo of allegedly helping cover up Gary’s inappropriate behavior.

There were multiple incidents of sexual harassment in front of multiple producers after this person had been given verbal warnings multiple times,” one of the accusers alleged. “I had to promote and make this guy who just assaulted someone look awesome. That was my job, to make this person look cool, capable and exciting.”

Samantha recalled being asked to look after Gary when he allegedly got drunk. Once filming wrapped, Samantha remained with Gary in his hotel room before he tried to stop her from leaving by pressing himself against her. Samantha alleged that Gary refused to let her leave until she started to fight back.

According to Samantha, she alerted producers about the incident , who told Gary to sleep on the boat on days when the crew wasn’t filming as a way to keep him out of the hotel.

Bravo addressed the allegations in a statement to Rolling Stone , saying, “Bravo is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for cast and crew on our reality shows. We require our third-party production companies to have appropriate workplace policies and trainings in place and a clear process on how to report concerns. The concerns Ms. Suarez raised in July 2022 were investigated at that time and action was taken based on the findings.”

Gary has maintained his innocence since news broke about the claim. “I know [that I did nothing wrong], and I know the truth but it still hurts when people will tell lies to bring you down,” he replied to a fan via Instagram one month later.

In the aftermath, Gary didn’t appear at BravoCon in November 2023 despite initially being announced as a guest. He has since stated that he wasn’t ruling out a Below Deck Sailing Yacht return.

Gary replied to several Instagram users in December 2023 who reminded him there’s a “life after” Below Deck .

“I hope so, will have to see but will definitely be trying to stay on peoples tv screens ☺️,” Gary wrote back. In a separate comment, Gary maintained that he would return to reality TV, adding, “I will do and hopefully be back on your screens, everyday I’m trying to better myself so hopefully if they ask me back you’ll see this.”

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5’s trailer has finally arrived, and with Captain Glenn Shephard’s crew including First Officer Gary King, fans are disappointed in the show’s return . While Below Deck viewers have been impatiently awaiting news about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 for over a year, the trailer has finally been released, and has many concerned about what the season is going to look like. While the trailer reveals the return of some familiar faces, the storylines that appear to be part of the season left viewers feeling uneasy. After Gary’s sexual misconduct allegations, his involvement seems overwhelming.

In the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 trailer, the crew’s chartering guests around Ibiza in a new sailing adventure. With Gary showing up early in the trailer after Daisy Kelliher makes her grand entrance, things get dicey quickly. “That’s right, we have a f****** job and I’m not carrying this f****** season on my own you f****** prick,” Daisy shouts at Gary in one moment of the trailer as he lays in his bed, looking dismayed. The rest of the trailer shows the genuine chaos of the season, featuring Gary heavily much to the surprise of Below Deck viewers .

He’s part of the show more than ever.

Throughout the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 trailer, it was clear that Gary will be a focal point of the exterior team’s story. Being shown on the deck with some of the exterior team, pushing Deckhands to their limits and critiquing their work, Gary’s presence on the sailing yacht may be odd during Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 . While he appears to be getting along with Daisy , he may not even have her in his corner by the end of the charter season. His heavy involvement in the trailer may not indicate the same throughout the whole season.

While Bravo filmed Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 before the allegations were revealed, they came to light during the filming of the season and it appears that the network didn’t choose to remove Gary from later episodes or take action at all. Though it remains to be seen if production did anything about Gary , it’s disappointing to some to see him on screen.

Although the trailer for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 makes it seem like one of the most exciting, dramatic seasons of the series we’ve ever seen, the mess may not be worth it if Gary’s involved. By ignoring the sexual misconduct allegations lodged against Gary and leaving him on the series, seemingly without explanation, Bravo is allowing it to seem like what he may have done is okay. Though nothing has been proven, taking no action on Below Deck Sailing Yacht could be a misstep that may taint the entire season of the sailing spin-off for once excited viewers.

The 35.36m/116' sail yacht 'Doryan' was built by Baltic Yachts in Finland at their Jakobstad shipyard. Her interior is styled by American designer design house Nauta Yachts and she was completed in 2015. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Nauta Yachts.

Doryan is built with a carbon fibre hull and carbon fibre superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 1 x diesel Cummins (QSB6.7) 375hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 9 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 11 knots. Her water tanks store around 3,000 Litres of fresh water.
