De Workumer Jachthaven is een compleet en modern geoutilleerd watersportbedrijf met ligplaatsen met halve zijsteigers en water en elektra binnen handbereik, ruime parkeergelegenheid, sanitaire voorzieningen, wasserette, kinderspeelplaats, verwarmde winterberging en een servicedienst. Een team van gespecialiseerde watersporttechnici is deskundig en ervaren in onderhoud, reparatie, refits schilderwerk, interieur- en houtbouw.

Techniek WJH Yachtservice is thuis in alle reparatie- en onderhoudswerk. Het bedrijf heeft het exclusieve dalerschap van Mariner (buitenboordmotoren) en Nanni, Bukh en Sole (scheepsdieselmotoren). Verder is WJH Yachtservice een servicestation van Mercruiser en erkend controle- en inbouwstation voor gasinstallaties. Voor deskundig advies over scheepstechniek, onderhoud en reparaties kunt u altijd terecht bij onze technische medewerkers.

Sichterman: delivered the first Libertas 15m and Felicitatem 20m

Sichterman launched the first Libertas 15M and the Felicitatem 20M at his shipyard in Workum, Netherlands. With these aluminum yachts, the Dutch boutique yacht builder adds two boats to his fleet after the launch of the Inveni 18M in May 2019.

Like the Inveni 18M, the Libertas and the Felicitatem are the results of the collaboration between designer Cor D. Rover , naval architect Van Oossanen , and yacht builder Workumer Yachtservice .

The shipyard was able to complete the construction of the Libertas in just 7 months and the Felicitatem in 9 months, planning in detail both the construction and the interior design.

Libertas 15m

The Libertas 15M is a versatile yacht designed for long cruises, as well as being a good tender for superyacht owners. What sets this yacht apart is the timeless design and the fast planing hull designed by Van Oossanen. The top speed is 40 knots with 2x Volvo Penta IPS 950 and Seakeeper technology that eliminates the roll of the boat up to 95%. Libertas can accommodate up to a maximum of 14 people.

The “Fantastic Eclectic” interior , which represents one of three styles, offers the perfect balance between classic and contemporary design.

Felicitatem 20m

The Felicitatem boasts a fast displacement hull always signed Van Oossanen, as well as the Seakeeper technology. The result is fuel savings of up to 20%.

The “Sporty Elegance” style of the interior shows elegant lines that flow into dynamic details, taken from the world of sports cars. The interior has a Mediterranean style, inspired by the aesthetics of Southern European countries.

The Felicitatem has three sunbeds , a Sonos entertainment system, and an air-conditioned lounge with underfloor heating. Up to six guests can stay overnight in two double bedrooms and a cabin with two single beds.

Privacy is ensured by a flybridge with a wheelhouse and a separate cabin for the captain.

Both yachts are ready for transport to the south of France and will leave the yard this month. The Yacht Club of Monaco’s private event, where the yachts would be officially presented, has been canceled. However, both yachts are available for charter and sale.

Sichterman delivers its first yacht: INVENI 18M- Sichterman’s first yacht was launched this weekend at the shipyard in Workum, Friesland. The aluminium Inveni combines elements of the famous Dutch Lemsteraken sailing vessels with innovative luxury motor yacht design. With other vessels soon to hit the water, the release of the first Inveni, shows that Sichterman Yachts has really taken off.

The official launch of the first Sichterman took place at the wharf where the yacht was built from A to Z. With over 35 years of experience in building sailing vessels and motor yachts, Workumer Yachtservice is as trustworthy with the complete process of constructing a yacht, as any in the business. The Inveni is the kind of vessel on which its owners can travel from the Russian to the Mediterranean Sea. The vertical bow gives the Inveni a classic appearance, which is what designer Cor D. Rover aimed for. The timeless design of the Inveni, is combined with the latest in innovations from the super yachting world.

The Hull Vane and the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), both designed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and never used in a single vessel of this size, work together to make the yacht generate less waves, have a longer range at cruise speed and a lower fuel consumption. On top of this, the Seakeeper technology eliminates boat roll significantly. Sichterman CEO Bart Rehe says, “Our client mister van Hilst challenged us to push technological limits to a new level and deliver a 5-star luxury experience. Being a former sailor, he wanted the yacht to be as quiet as possible, whilst maintaining a high level of comfort and fuel efficiency at the same time. And that we’ve succeeded. We’re proud to say that the Inveni accomplishes a fuel saving of 20%.” It were these qualities that owner Ruud van Hilst looked for, when he researched the motor yacht industry. With a long and successful background in competitive sailing, van Hilst wanted the best of both worlds. “Sichterman turned out to deliver exactly what I envisioned. The team and its partners, consisting of Workumer Yacht Services, Van Oossanen Naval Architects and Cor D. Roover, did a great job translating my wishes into a yacht that is safe, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. After a few tests, I can say that I’m extremely satisfied with the way the ship handles itself in open water. It really cruises through the waves, almost as if you’re on a train. As a man who always sailed sailing vessels, it was quite a big leap to acquire a luxury yacht , but so far I’m very happy with my decision. Next to this, partly decisive for choosing Sichterman, is their service and boat management program. This total care package assures that I can focus on what I love to do: sailing and exploring the world by water.”

Inveni, the aluminium yacht with low fuel consumption

Sichterman Yachts is a newcomer to the world of superyacht. The Dutch manufacturer has just launched its first 18-metre model, the Inveni, which features the Hull Vane system, a fixed fin located at the back of the hull that reduces fuel consumption by about 20%.

The new Dutch shipbuilder Sichterman Yachts , based in Friesland, the Netherlands, in the province of Friesland, has just launched its first yacht model.

Inveni is an 18 m long aluminium yacht built within the Workumer Yachtservice yard. Designed by designer Cor D. Rover, this motoryacht is inspired by the design of the famous typical Dutch sailboats, the Lemsteraken and the innovations of luxury motor yachts . In the 20th century, the smallest Lemsteraken were used as fishing boats and the largest as boats to transport fish from the fishing grounds to the auction. Most of them are nowadays transformed into pleasure boats.

Inveni has a vertical bow that gives it the classic look sought by the designer. It has the "Hull Vane" developed by Dr. Ir. Pieter Van Oossanen, a patented fixed foil, placed under the stern of a ship and used to save fuel and improve seaworthiness. This equipment influences the wake profile and creates a hydrodynamic lift, partially oriented forward.

This structure, which is usually reserved for large motor boats - cargo, cruise or transport boats - will equip the entire Sichterman Yachts fleet.

Its hull, also developed and patented by Van Oossanen - Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) - should, according to its designer, reduce wake drag, increase cruising range and reduce fuel consumption. Finally, Seakeeper technology significantly eliminates boat roll.

The Inveni's specifications were drawn up by a former sailor, experienced in competitive sailing, who was looking for a silent, fuel-efficient motor boat with a high level of comfort. After the first tests, the owner was satisfied with the boat's passage at sea and the manufacturer announced that the fuel savings achieved were 20%.

With 2x Cummins 550 HP, Inveni reaches a maximum speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. It can accommodate up to 6 passengers and offers 4 beds.

The Dutch manufacturer offers several models from 15 to 26 m, the two largest of which will be equipped with flybridges.
