Covering up to 68.6 square metres of the yacht’s surface and allowing up to 13kWp of green energy to be generated, Sunreef Yachts’ proprietary state-of-art solar power system is fully-integrated with the yacht’s hull sides, superstructure and curved areas blending cutting-edge technology and a lighter footprint with easy-on-the-eye aesthetics.
Step abord, head upstairs and chill out under the sun’s rays. The sun deck enjoys a hardtop Bimini to shelter in the shade and a large on-deck Jacuzzi for end of day soaks. Enveloped in solar panels from top to bottom, guests can relax in the knowledge that not a ray of sunshine is going to waste.
Designed in-house by Sunreef, the interiors on board the 60 Sunreef Power Eco are finished in sustainable materials for an environmentally kinder and less impactful experience. Meet the 60 Sunreef Power Eco

Sunreef Yachts has unveiled plans for the 60 Sunreef Power Eco, which has solar panels fully integrated into the hull sides, superstructure and curved areas of the yacht.
According to Sunreef , these solar panels cover about 740 square feet of space, generating 13 kWp of solar energy. That power generation, along with an ultralight battery bank, is expected to provide what the builder describes as “silent and vibration-free cruising.”
The 60 Sunreef Power Eco can be customized with various layout and color schemes. The exterior includes a flybridge, a full-beam terrace at the bow (that’s a beam of just over 35 feet), and a cockpit along with a garage.
Can a hot tub be added to the 60 Sunreef Power Eco? Yes, the builder’s various layout options include a hot tub aft.

First look: Sunreef 60 Eco

The new Sunreef 60 Eco has gone all-out in terms of solar power, which should help keep electric motors topped up for extensive adventuring
There’s a rapidly accelerating trend towards maximising the amount of solar power installed on cruising catamarans, which can be seen being taken up a step on the new Sunreef 60 Eco.
Given multihulls ‘ extensive deck areas this makes sense in many ways and obviates the need for a separate diesel generator on an increasing number of craft.
Sunreef has taken this a whole stage further with its latest 60ft sailing catamaran, the Sunreef 60 Eco which is equipped with integrated solar panels that are even built into the hull sides, as well as the superstructure and hardtop. In total up to 17kW of solar can be accommodated in this way. The solar panels were developed in-house and, although they are less than 1mm thick, the Polish company claims they provide a very high degree of resistance to shock and abrasion.
The boat has electric propulsion via twin 70kW electric motors, driven by lithium battery banks of 140-200kW capacity, depending on the option specified. These are sized to be able to run house loads continuously, even overnight, without recourse to the twin 80kW diesel generators that also serve as range extenders.

60 Sunreef Power Eco
Like all the other models in the range, the 60 Sunreef Power, which we got the chance to try out in 2021, is available in an Eco version, i.e. with electric motors and solar panels - including on the outer hull sides as an option. This forever green version was presented to the public for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Even though the 60 is the “smallest” powercat in the Polish shipyard's Power range, it already has all the attributes of an ultra-modern multiyacht. Thanks to its large beam, the 60 Sunreef Power offers an extremely spacious saloon. On the same level as the aft cockpit, this large semi-open space is fully customizable and bathed in sunlight thanks to a skylight and panoramic glazing. The large volumes of the lower deck can be customized to suit the sailing program and lifestyle of the individual owner. The hydraulic platform offers a relaxation area close to the water, perfect for watersports. Sunreef delivers 60 Power Eco to Fernando Alonso

The F1 star is full of praise for the 60 Sunreef Power Eco after taking delivery of the Polish builder’s smallest solar-electric powercat.

Fernando Alonso has taken delivery of the first 60 Sunreef Power Eco, having commissioned the solar-electric powercat in 2021 and joined Sunreef Yachts’ cast of ambassadors, which includes tennis legend Rafa Nadal, former F1 star Nico Rosberg and explorer Mike Horn.
Alonso, 42, ordered hull one of the 60 Sunreef Power Eco and the Aston Martin driver was closely involved in the build and customisation of his catamaran, paying numerous visits to the builder’s main shipyard in Gdansk on Poland’s north coast. The 60ft yacht has a beam of 35ft-plus beam, a vast aft cockpit with a swim platform and aft garage, a full-beam bow terrace and generous flybridge.
60 Sunreef Power Eco
Following delivery, the record holder for most F1 races enjoyed a yachting holiday with friends and family on board his luxury Category A catamaran, which is fitted with Sunreef’s unique ‘solar skin’ system on the hulls, superstructure and hard top.
Featuring electric motors, an energy-saving air-conditioning system and a custom-engineered battery bank, the eco-friendly catamaran offers a continuous supply of clean power for a smooth e-motoring experience.
“ The 60 Sunreef Power Eco gave me exactly the yachting experience I was looking for. Long, fume-free and quiet cruises let you enjoy the seas on a whole new level. This yacht has some amazing technology that cannot be found anywhere else,” said Alonso, who recorded his 100 th F1 podium finish in this year’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
“ On board, all that matters is peace of mind, fresh air and good company. Yachting should not be about ego. For me, it’s about sharing good moments and being respectful towards the environment.”
The 60 Sunreef Power Eco is the third powercat from the Eco range and follows the 80 Sunreef Power Eco and 70 Sunreef Power Eco models, which had world premieres at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September, represented by hulls three and one respectively.
In late October, the 80 Sunreef Power Eco had its US debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with the display of represented by hull two, Sol . Sunreef’s dealers in Asia include Hong Seh Marine in Thailand and Lee Marine in Thailand.
