Zurbagan is very fast in light weather thanks to her big sail surface and her tall rig, 40 mtr. Winner of the SuperYacht design awards when launched in 2006.

Zurbagan is a sleek low profile performance cruiser.   Her hull as well as her annexes are identical to L'Oreal's, the mast has been moved back allowing to minimize the pitching. Teak laid decks. A fourth guest/crew cabin is located aft on port side of the main area with the single crew cabin behind the galley, situated aft on starboard side. The saloon and the main area open on to the galley and the chart table, leaving a wide uncluttered space.  The passageway leading to the two cabins forward is organized around the metallic keel case and the varnish carbon fibre mast. The owner's cabin with a central king size berth has a private bathroom with a circular shower and separated toilets. Leather trunks with the name of the yacht engraved on them are laid out along the hull. The guest cabins with two double berths have the same interior decoration as the owner's cabin. A half-arch covered with Novasuede hides the u-bolt structure. A white span made off hand tufted carpet and Novasuede transversally cuts across the arrangement of the main area setting off the width and the volume of the boat. The cherry woodworks are enhanced by stainless steel with micropellet blasted finish and brightened up with English green satin finish leather. The dining table and coffee table have glass tops revealing their legs that seem to rise from the floor. The main area has all the onboard conveniences, a television on an elevator, a home cinema system, hi-fi centralized, bar fridge and ice-maker. The comfortable companionway while sailing has a very spaced out design enhancing the metallic vaulted bulkhead of the aft bathroom. Built by Garcia Yacht in 2007 from aluminum, it is the winner of the 2007 International Superyacht Society Awards as the best sailing yacht between 23 and 36 meters. In collaboration with Gilles Vaton Studio, we were responsible for producing all preliminary, executive drawings and renderings from the beginning of the design to the launching of the vessel.

Specifications.

The new Zurbagan 55′ High Performance Cruiser, built by Maxi Dolphin in Italy, has been conceived for an expert owner, who wishes to sail with his family and friends and without the need of a full time skipper or crew. Therefore, the focus was on designing a boat to be sailed shorthanded and with sail systems that allow easy deployment of the different head sails, and to easily reef and unreef the square top mainsail

The hull shape is designed for fast cruising in the Mediterranean and also to be sea-kind when sailing in bigger seas. Hence the beam is narrower than seen on other newer production boat of that size, and the hull bottom is “V shaped” to decrease slamming. This is a very similar concept to the latest hull designs for our racing TP52s. The boat also has a 3.0 m fixed keel with a T bulb, to maximize upwind performance and still allow to anchor in most protected coves around the Med. The fresh water tanks are used as water ballast as well to maximize upwind performance and increase the boat´s stability. The boat has twin rudders for good control in any condition, specifically when fast reaching in higher wind speeds.

Zurbagan has been planned to be as sustainable as possible, and the owner was deeply involved in the design of the electric propulsion system by OceanVolt, and the coachroof custom designed solar panels by Sunbeam. The bimini and mainsail lazy bags also have solar panels fitted, to maximize green energy recovery.

I ntended for an expert owner, is a cruiser with an easy sailer layout. It has a limited maximum beam, double rudders and the “V” hull recalls that of the TP52s from the Spanish studio. Fresh water tanks are also used as ballast to maximize upwind performance. The auxiliary engine is electric powered by solar panels on the coachroof and the bimini and lazy bags are also equipped with solar panels. A large central living room, owner’s room at the bow and two double rooms at the stern, the interiors.

Her interior is styled by design house Hervé Couëdel and she was completed in 2006. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Gilles Vaton and she was last refitted in 2007.

Zurbagan is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 1 x diesel Volvo (D-2 75 SD) 75hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 11 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 2,300 litre fuel tanks. Timmerman Yachts is a Russian builder of quality luxury motor yachts. Based in Moscow, it is owned by a group of Dutch and Russian investors and operates out of Moscow Shipyard. Several noted naval architecture and yacht design firms are involved with Timmerman, including Vripack, Guido de Groot Design, Ginton Naval Architects, Jon Bannenberg Ltd., and Francis Design Ltd.

Founded in 2003, the company was named for 17th century Dutch boat builder Franz Timmerman who brought Dutch boat manufacturing techniques to Russia and co-founded the Russian navy. Timmerman Yachts has more than 1,000 employees working at the Moscow Shipyard.

Timmerman has delivered a number of semi-custom luxury yachts between 26-47 metres in length, including TM26 and Timmerman FD-51, designed by Francis Design Ltd. Other notable Timmerman yachts include Victoria M, Alexandra (now Latitude) and Olsten 125′.

One of the 10 largest yacht builders in the world, Timmerman is focused on building high-quality luxury yachts at more competitive prices. Its Russian-Dutch partnership provides great yacht-building capabilities. Timmerman builds yacht to the highest standards and holds DNV, MCA and Russian River Register certification. The company reportedly has more than a dozen yachts in some phase of construction.

Mark Zuckerberg has reportedly gifted himself a $300 million megayacht, dubbed “Launchpad,” ahead of his 40th birthday.

The staggering 387-foot-long vessel was seen floating at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., after arriving at its berth earlier this week, The Sun reported Thursday.

The multi-layered luxury ship’s sleek exterior was designed by Espen Øino International and boasts a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, according to SuperYacht Times.

Reportedly ranking as the 45th largest yacht in the world, the interiors are just as aesthetically pleasing and reportedly executed by Zuretti Interior Design company, a France-based company specializing in unique and custom yacht design.

The breathtakingly beautiful floater stands out with a navy blue theme matching an American flag perched proudly on its wood-paneled stern.

There are several outdoor areas where the social media maven will be able to relax with his family and the indoor levels feature glass paneling allowing for tons of natural light.

There also appears to be a helipad perfect for whenever the Facebook co-founder wants to travel to his vessel by air.

The Feadship-built yacht, built in 2022, can comfortably fit 24 guests aboard, requires a crew of 48, and is said to cost $30 million a year for upkeep and usage, according to Superyachtfan.com .

Boatworld insiders have been buzzing with speculation that Zuckerberg is the owner of the newly minted mega-cruise ever since it made its main voyage from the Netherlands last week.

The tech titan was spotted touring the Russian-commissioned megayacht in early March, though the impressive boat didn’t arrive stateside until this week due to sanctions, according to The Sun.

The website reported that Zuckerberg purchased the pricey yacht – along with its own $30 million partner boat — most likely as an early 40th birthday present to himself.

The boat reportedly traveled to Florida after being granted special permission to be imported just weeks ahead of Zuckerberg’s birthday on May 14.

Zuckerberg’s yacht is just 30 feet shorter than the length of fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos’ 417-foot megayacht Koru, which the Amazon boss snagged for a whopping $500 million.

Zuckerberg’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
