A General Description of Motor Yacht TRIUMPHANT LADY

This motor yacht TRIUMPHANT LADY is a 45 m 148 (foot) spacious composite ship which was made at Nishii Zosen Kk/Sterling Yachts and her design is by Bannenberg Designs Ltd and Yutaki Jujima. Sleeping 10 passengers and 12 crew members, motor yacht TRIUMPHANT LADY was previously called Sterling Lady; Bengal I; Christine; Lady Pita. The gracious boat has been envisaged from a naval architect called Bannenberg Designs Ltd and Yutaki Jujima. Bannenberg Designs Ltd / Pavlik Design/Dee Robinson (2003) undertook her interior design brief.

The New Build & Yacht Design with respect to Luxury Yacht TRIUMPHANT LADY

Bannenberg Designs Ltd was the naval architecture company involved in the professional vessel plans for TRIUMPHANT LADY. Her interior design was conceived by Bannenberg Designs Ltd / Pavlik Design/Dee Robinson (2003). Bannenberg Designs Ltd and Yutaki Jujima is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. Japan is the country that Nishii Zosen Kk/Sterling Yachts constructed their new build motor yacht in. After the official launch in 1985 in Ise she was thereafter passed over to the proud new owner after sea trials. Her hull was crafted from composite. The motor yacht main superstructure is made largely using composite. With a width of 8.11 metres or 26.6 feet TRIUMPHANT LADY has spacious interior. A fairly shallow draught of 2.41m (7.9ft) affects the list of harbours she can enter into, depending on their minimum depth. She had refit maintenance and changes undertaken by 2009.

Fitted with twin CATERPILLAR diesel engines, TRIUMPHANT LADY can reach a high speed of 16 knots. Connected to her Caterpillar engine(s) are twin screw propellers. She also has an efficient range of 4000 nautical miles when sailing at her cruise speed of 14 knots. Her total HP is 2600 HP and her total Kilowatts are 1913. As for the yacht’s stabalisers she was supplied with Naiad.

Superyacht Triumphant Lady now for sale at Northrop and Johnson

Having reported John Weller's move to Northrop and Johnson on October 19th I call him for an update and discover that the 47.24m motor yacht Triumphant Lady has moved with John as a central listing at a reduced price.

Triumphant Lady  was delivered by Japan's Nishii Zosen-Sterling in 1985 and frequently upgraded. This superyacht's interior layout, designed by Jon Bannenberg and Cindy Mason , sleeps 10 guests in a master suite and four double staterooms. Twin 1300hp Caterpillar engines give Triumphant Lady a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 13 knots. John tells me that her current owners, prior to a world cruise, had her extensively refitted and lengthened. "Everything on the boat's new," says John, "And the cost of the refit was $12 million." Considering the price has come down from $15.95 million to $12.9 million, it means that a new owner is getting the cost of the refit for free.

The 47.2m build Triumphant Lady   has been listed for sale with Camper & Nicholsons International for the very competitive asking price of $6.9 million, factoring in a $12 million refit in 2009 that effectively brought her condition up to that of a new build.

Triumphant Lady was delivered in 1985 by Japanese shipyard Sterling Yachts to an architectural design by Bannenburg Designs Ltd. This was one of three collaborations in quick succession, with 55.2m Lady A , 45m Matrix Rose and 47.2m Triumphant Lady all delivered in 1985 and 1986. The exterior for these three designs all received input from Japanese yacht designer, Yutaki Jujima.

“She is unique because, despite being an older boat, I don’t think she’ll ever look old. I put that down to the fact that she is a great Bannenburg design”, commented listing broker John Weller.

The previous owner invested $12 million in a refit in 2009 with the intention of sailing her around the world. “The refit included pretty much everything, from new generators, to an entirely refitted interior, new interior woodwork and an extension for a swim platform”, continued Weller. Cindy Mason also contributed to the yacht’s interior décor.

Other notable features of the yacht are the three-story spiral staircase, elevator connecting the three decks, stabilisers, Jacuzzi on the sun deck, Bannenburg-designed glass-bottomed spa pool and a helipad.

The Superyacht Intelligence Agency’s data shows that, since 2013, the average asking price for motoryachts listed for re-sale between 45m–50m is $21.72 million. For those that have a build year preceding 1990, this average asking price is reduced to $10.35 million. At $6.9 million, her price is just two thirds of this latter figure, not to mention the value added from an extensive $12 million refit seven years ago.

Walk Through

Upon entering through the double doors one is immediately struck by the shear beauty and volume of this mega yacht. A marble foyer with faux painted hand rail wrapped around glass panels leads into the exquisitely decorated Dining Room with its own Day Head. Forward to Starboard is the Otis elevator, which runs form the lower deck all the way to the Gym. Forward of the elevator is the magnificent Master Stateroom with separate Bathroom and Closet. To Port one accesses the Stewardess Pantry and forward the Queen Sized Captains Cabin and Wheel House beckon. Down a flight of stairs one reaches the comfortable Crew Quarters and Crew Accommodation, then onto the well equipped Galley and Laundry Room. Lastly, the newly renovated and updated Engine room and Control Room are found.

The Lower Deck Guest Staterooms are accessed via the spiral staircases aft of the Dining Room. A large foyer flows to the guest rooms. Port and Starboard aft guest rooms are mirror imaged and both boast Queen beds, en suite bathrooms and couches. Port forward too has a Queen bed; en suite bathroom and couch, while Starboard Forward has a Queen sized Murphy bed, en suite bathroom, luggage locker as well as a wine locker. This room is unique as the Murphy bed retracts into the wall allowing the space to be used as a Massage room.

The Main Salon is accessed via the curved stairs and is the heart beat of the vessel. Huge curved windows wrap around beautifully placed furniture. This space has been carefully broken up into comfort zones featuring hand crafted lounge seating, bar, entertainment area with raised seating as well as two computer work areas for Owner and guests. An internal elevator joins all decks.

Heading outside from the Main Salon through the automatic glass doors, one finds the strikingly beautiful outside dining area with seating for 20. Up a flight of stairs and the glass bottomed Jacuzzi, with seating for 8 is laid out. Space aplenty for sun loungers are available for those seeking some sun time. Forward is the well equipped gym with bathroom and forward of that, the secluded sun deck. Here romantic meals can be taken by candle light, or it could be an ideal place to work on that all over tan…….

The Boat Deck is equipped with enough space for 2 x 21ft tenders. From the boat deck access to the water is down molded teak stairs. The full width swim platform has a fold down teak boarding staircase for ease of entering the water. Entry to the Bow is via the Wheel House. Here large round Bunny Pad Seating is available to those wishing to escape and get some fresh air. 

The Master Stateroom is furnished with a king bed, large owner closet, a marble master bathroom with twin vanity and shower. In addition it is equipped with the following:

No expense was spared in creating this state of the art operation center. Raised bench seating in black leather allow for a comfortable ride while at sea.
