Całkowicie nowy Y72 jest pierwszym jachtem motorowym typu Flybridge, który został wyposażony w przełomową technologię Princess active ride control. Wspomniana technologia stale monitoruje i dostosowuje się, aby osiągnąć radykalnie lepszą dynamikę i komfort. W połączeniu z nowym kształtem kadłuba, technologia ta umożliwi Y72 osiągnięcie znacznie lepszej wydajności paliwowej i osiągów. Jacht wykończony jest według wysokich standardów.
Jego cechy konstrukcyjne są porównywalne z większymi jachtami klasy Y. Przestronny salon Y72 wyposażony jest w bar i wielostrefowym systemem audio Naim. Kuchnia jest o otwartym układzie.
