Mondo Marine is proud to present a preview of the all-new 43-metre motor yacht Project M43, beautifully penned by the Milan-based design studio ‘ Hot Lab Yacht & Design ’. Based on the same philosophy originally applied to the 50m luxury yacht M50 , also designed by Hot Lab, superyacht M43 successfully strikes the balance between beautiful and practical, exterior and interior, lavish and livable spaces, with a welcoming family feeling enhanced by the mixture of her elegant and sporty lines.

THE GENEROUS VOLUMES ARE COMPARABLE TO THOSE USUALLY CHARACTERIZING LARGER BOATS , however without compromising the design dynamic and sporty connotation. The interplay of empty and filled spaces optimizes the introduction of large windows, often full height, and reduces the visual impact of the significant volumes.

THE AESTHETIC OF THE STERN AREA IS LOW AND SLEEK , characterized by the presence of two symmetrical staircases to allow access into the aft deck and, through here, to the beach club that thanks to its folding central part turns into a sea platform. This area has the dual function of recreation area and garage for the tender.

THE WIDE BODY TYPE OF UPPER DECK HOSTS ALSO THE WHEELHOUSE thus allowing optimum use of internal heights. The top, well developed in length to accommodate a very large fly bridge, is characterized by bold and dynamic lines harmoniously relating to the deck. Here rise the wide windows giving light to the upper salon, the wing-stations and the windshield characterized by a strong inclination. The windscreen forward area has been specifically developed in height in order to emphasize the surrounding volumes and to accommodate a large and practical outdoor living room.

SPEAKING OF THE FRESH AND INNOVATIVELY

DYNAMIC LAYOUT, THE SUN DECK IS DESIGNED AS AN AREA TOTALLY DEDICATED TO WELL-BEING . We find a large swimming pool that, set between two comfortable sunbathing areas, is practically invisible from the outside, a lounge area and a bar of considerable dimensions, whereas the aft area is conceived as a multifunctional area that can accommodate some sunbathing loungers or a comfortable dining table.

THE LOWER DECK FEATURES TWO MASSIVE FULL-BEAM VIP CABINS AND TWO FOR GUESTS AT THE CENTER , all of them with en-suites and so generously sized to suggest a larger vessel. In the forward area of the lower deck we find the crew quarters for 10 people complete with a large crew mess and a convenient laundry area. THE MAIN DECK, CHARACTERIZED BY THE INTERACTION BETWEEN INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, HAS A GENEROUSLY SIZED INDOOR LOUNGE WHICH TENDS TO NATURALLY EXPAND TOWARDS THE AFT COCKPIT : the layout of the bar at the entrance to the main saloon creates a sort of axis of symmetry between the two lounge areas: the inner and the outer one, merging them effectively into a single element. Immediately further on is the dining area with full height windows giving again the feeling of being indoors and outdoors at the same time.

THE LARGE OWNER CABIN IN THE BOW FURTHER REINFORCES THIS CONCEPT BY HAVING ALL THE FIXED FURNITURE TO THE TRANSVERSE BULKHEADS and leaving only to a few sinuous and upholstered items the task of coming between the Owner and the openings to the outside armchairs and chaise lounges that do not actually hide the horizon.

THE LOBBY OCCUPIES THE CENTRAL PORTION OF THE MAIN DECK on the starboard side and leads to the other large semi-enclosed space of the motor yacht M43: the upper deck salon. A more informal room, deliberately designed with a symmetrical spiral arrangement which also in this case draws the guests’ attention simultaneously to the spacious outside dining area and to the indoor bar to the left, effectively creating two separate gathering places for the guests into one multipurpose space. Still on the upper deck is the wheelhouse with two side doors to connect with the wing stations.

FROM A TECHNICAL POINT OF VIEW THE HULL IS A STATE OF ART. The innovative hull has been patented by the Arrabito studio and guarantees 20 percent greater efficiency (lowering fuel costs) when compared with traditional semi-displacement hulls.

First look: Sunreef 43 – superyacht catamaran

The recently announced Sunreef 43 will be a luxury superyacht catamaran designed to accommodate 12 guests with a 50ft wide owners cabin

Sunreef has been dropping tantalising hints for some time about a 43m/140ft super sailing catamaran , and now the first renderings of this behemoth have landed. Details are still fairly sparse about the Sunreef 43, as it is a work in progress, but it has been designed to accommodate 12 guests in luxury, including a full-beam owner’s suite (that’s 50ft of beam!). This last has private access to a bow terrace and spa pool.

Very much in line with current trends, this huge boat is available in an ‘Eco’ variant, which basically equates to hybrid propulsion with hydrogeneration and solar panels. Not just any panels, however – these are Sunreef’s proprietary system and can be set into any surface on board, from decks and topsides to masts. A titanic 50kW are envisaged.

The other key feature revealed is the simply vast ‘beach’ aft. A very large hydraulic platform lowers from the height of the aft deck to just above the waterline. At the same time, two platforms built into the outer edge of the transom skirts fold outwards, creating a deep terrace that runs round the quarter. Behind these doors lie a garage to port and a gym to starboard, although the spaces can be customised.

There’s a gigantic flybridge with a hardtop protecting it, and this runs to lounging, dining and bar space – as well as the skipper’s futuristic helm station.

A yacht this size naturally spreads a lot of canvas. The main alone covers 500m2 with a gennaker up to 800m2. And while the speed under sail is not defined, the boat’s cruising pace of 11 knots should be an easy reach for the twin 200kW motors. The accommodation is designed for seven crew, and negotiations are under way with a potential buyer.

The yacht's construction features a robust steel hull coupled with an aluminum superstructure. The design echoes natural elements, with external lines reminiscent of a smooth, artfully carved stone, free from sharp edges and sudden angle changes. This design choice gives the yacht a seamless, organic aesthetic, blending the fluid lines of a classic sailing hull with the powerful silhouette of a modern motor yacht.

Exterior Features

One of the most striking aspects of the Atlantique 43M is its "sailing-type" stern. This area includes a central swimming pool, surrounded by an aft-facing C-shaped seating arrangement, creating a scenic and inviting atmosphere. The stern is designed to sit low to the water, just 50 centimeters above the sea surface, enhancing the sense of connection with the ocean. This is further amplified by fold-out side wings that extend the space, offering an even greater feeling of openness and direct contact with the water.

The yacht’s exterior spaces are crafted with the owner and his family in mind, providing ample room for relaxation and entertainment. The large external areas seamlessly blend with the generous internal spaces, particularly on the main and upper decks, allowing guests to enjoy unobstructed views and a continuous flow between indoor and outdoor environments.

Interior Luxuries

Inside, the M/Y Night Fury II boasts an expansive and luxurious layout designed for comfort and elegance. The main and upper decks are designed to offer total contact with the surrounding landscape, ensuring guests can fully immerse themselves in their maritime surroundings.

The lower deck accommodates four double cabins and two VIP cabins with en-suite bathrooms located on the hull sides. Additionally, there are two twin cabins, ensuring ample space and privacy for guests. The forward area of the lower deck is dedicated to the crew, featuring four double cabins with bathrooms, a crew mess, and a laundry area, ensuring that the crew is well taken care of and can provide top-notch service.

Performance and Capabilities

The M/Y Night Fury II is not just about luxury; it’s built for performance. Powered by two Cat C32 Acert engines, each producing 970 kW, the yacht can achieve a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14.5 knots. This ensures a smooth and efficient voyage, whether navigating coastal waters or embarking on longer journeys.

For tenders and toys, the yacht is well-equipped. The stern houses a 5.5-meter tender in the starboard side garage. Additionally, there is space for a second tender (a rescue boat) and two jet skis on the main deck forward, ensuring that all needs for exploration and adventure are met.

A cutting-edge wheelhouse where instruments and monitors are ergonomically positioned around the captain’s station. Serial hybrid technology : offering a remarkable ECO cruising range and all the benefits of a full serial hybrid system in a yacht. Hotel functions that can run for many hours without generators, all night and into the next day, thus eliminating noise, vibration and fumes.

Centro Stile WIDER, the in-house design team, has created a yacht with modern and dynamic lines while keeping its focus on a direct connection with the sea environment. The  lounge  on the upper deck is extremely bright thanks to full-height windows and a  spectacular 360° view . The full-beam  owner’s suite  is located forward, including a private balcony overlooking the sea. In a separate living room with full-height windows, the owner enjoys  50sqm of private lounge space . Entertainment

The beach club of the WIDER 43 is an ideal hangar for a designer tender like the WIDER 32, due to the ease with which the floating launching system makes exit and entry manoeuvres with the tender possible. The submarine will also be stowed here and likewise the launch and retrieval is simple for the crew. A.P.A.  – 30 % of Charter Fee A.P.A. (Advance Provisioning Allowance) To cover following costs, but not limited to: fuel for the main engine and generators; fuel for cruising; food and beverages for the Charter Party; berthing dues and other harbour charges including pilots ’fees, local taxes, divers’ fees, customs formalities, charges for waste disposal, charges for water and electricity taken from shore; shipping agents’ fees where applicable; Charter Party personal laundry; Charter Party communications and internet use; hire or purchase costs of any special equipment placed on board at the Charterer’s request, shoreside transport and excursions, national park entrances and other costs for services requested by Charter Party during the charter and all other costs not specified as included.

A.P.A is paid by the Client in addition to the charter fee for all relevant costs for the vessel that are not included in the charter fee.

If A.P.A does not cover complete costs, the Client will pay exceeding the amount on board in cash.

If costs made on charter are less than the amount is given as A.P.A, the amount that was not spent will be returned to the Client at the end of the voyage.

A.P.A does not include a tip for the crew.

Sunreef signs order for second Sunreef 43M Eco catamaran

Polish shipyard Sunreef Yachts has signed an order for the second Sunreef 43M Eco model. The deal was secured by broker Ben Ritchie at Y.CO less than two months after the sale of the first hull was announced. 

The 43M Eco is the newest addition to the shipyard's Eco fleet and was first revealed in January 2022. Billed as the "ultimate eco sailing catamaran", the 43 metre model will be one of the largest composite sailing structures on the water, with integrated solar panels that can produce approximately 250kWh in a 24-hour period. Solar panels are built into the sides of the hull, the superstructure and the bimini.

The Sunreef 43m Eco can fly 1,600 square metres of sail downwind thanks to a 49 metre mast, while an advanced hydrogenation system produces a steady supply of green power for emission-free cruising. The model is also fitted with "state-of-the-art" electric engines that offer up to 12 hours of "e-motoring", according to the yard.

Highlights of the 43M Eco include a large "ocean lounge" aft that ties the aft deck, swim platform and fold-down balconies into a single space. The area can be customised to the requirements of each owner with the addition of a massage room, a bar serving drinks to guests or a fitness area.

This same area is also home to an "invisible garage" carefully concealed beneath the aft deck with room for two Jet Skis and a selection of water toys. Accommodation is for 12 guests including a master cabin with an adjacent office and direct access to the vast sun lounge at the bow.

Technical management team YTMC will work in collaboration with Y.CO to oversee the construction.

"The upgraded electric power not only facilitates more responsible, efficient cruising but is totally silent, enhancing the already impressive comfort on board. Together with the owner’s technical managers YTMC, the shipyard is working  hard to ensure this yacht is delivered to the highest possible standard." 

The sale of the first hull was completed by Tim Quinlan at Ocean Independence and confirmed at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022.
